I often look at some of those older boards (as well as skate some now and then) but think the lack of nose, both length and concave, makes me worried I would fall off the front of the board nowdays, as I am so used to riding normal modern concave boards, compared to what we used to ride back in the 80s.
That is why I like boards from DLX like the green giant eagle deck, or any other big Black Label, Scram and a few other brands with the normal modern concave that still feel like any other board I have, but in a much larger scale.
Most of the bigger boards from those brands I have are second hand from others, but they make such good cruisers and pump track boards for me, as I just cannot skate big ramps, but still enjoy the longer wheelbases and wider feel of them.
