I’m gonna be in nyc next month. I will recreate this entire part in an afternoon and post it on here .
Gonna hold you up to this. I'm very much looking forward to this
Just so I don’t Versacekid this shit what are my parameters haha. Part of it’s facetious but now I might have to drag my buddy into the city to film. I can get the LA DWP clips sometime this month. Might have to relearn kickflip manny and varial flip. The only trick in that edit that I might have to concede is the hippy jump just cause my knees are fucked . But shit I’ma be out there a week maybe 2 visiting family so I can definitely try. Anyone got pins for nyc spots and that white bar in LA?
I always thought LA DWP was a major bust but maybe it’s mellowed. Was funny to see it pop up in Inception
I love seeing skate spots in media. The obvious being the always Sunny store front in downtown . Your LA based right ? We should try and hit it up. Im pretty sure it’s still night only but no where near the bust factor it used to be . Growing up skating downtown I found if your nice to the security you can get stuff done .
It’s always funny seeing how crazy the downtown triple set security is cause my mom worked in that hotel next door as a kid and we’d literally get the security to bum us cigs as kids trying to skate California plaza . That whole area is a damn play ground for skating .
Oh yeah, I’ve shot in front of that building, but from the front. Tons of stuff has gone on in the third floor loft.
I’m in that outdoor business park area that feeds out to the triple set so I’m def aware of that guard rotation because I had to be discrete about my smoking cigs bc I couldn’t be arsed to go down a level.
Oh that’s sick. I haven’t been back there in like 15 years. It’s crazy how much shit has gone down since. When I was a kid the only thing that had been done was the dyrdek commercial. The triple set was a pipe dream to us as kids, the rail is monumentally fucked . I think I pop shuved that little 5 to the side tho . I couldn’t really skate it excessively cause my mom worked there which was a bummer. But I skated a bunch of those spots around it.
the first time I came in with her I saw a business dude and a cholo exchange a large amount of coke in broad daylight cause weekends in dtla were a literal ghost town in the early 2000s and my dumbass was looking for spots .
We should hit a sesh man.
