Most skateable/biggest bust-factor sculpture ever?
« on: August 19, 2022, 02:38:06 PM »
Danny Way got to jump the Great Wall, maybe they’ll let Suciu in here.

Only 6 tickets a day @ $150 a pop, and in the middle of nowhere. It’s also hard to tell from the pics what’s concrete and what’s gravel, but it certainly looks like a skatepark.

Interesting. Does look like a park.

Makes me think of this park as discussed here. Can see the Claes Oldenburg and pop influence.

Skate that after picking up some trucks from the Prada store in Marfa lol

The four stair in the Sistine chapel has gotta be an instant bust. Couldn’t even film a trick either lol

nothing's been the since same

That'd be sick if it were skateable but it looks to be mostly gravel. I could see some BMXers having a great time here however.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Years ago I went to Budapest and was scared as shit to skate some of their amazing spots cause everything was in a palace/parliment/museum/metro, the total absence of skaters in the spots wasnt a good sign either.  I didnt wanted to test my luck as a clueless southamerican in there.

In that trip I managed to make one of my best flatground kickflips ever while crusing the center as a kid yelled "do a kickflip!" I had a backpack on, water bottle on the left hand and was going pretty fast; I looked at him and did it right away, it felt amazing. I could have died and exploted in the ground but didnt  ;D

The first picture: is that a photo or a rendered picture? It looks amazing.

This plaza/sculpture in Frankfurt, Germany is one of the best spots I know. We always get kicked out within the first 5 minutes though.

Skated this spot back in the day in Midtown. Steep hips and banks. So much potential. Security was right in front and you got a couple tries. Always wonder what happened to it if anyone knows?

That thing Darby Allin tried to drop in on. I'm sure it's possible but it would take like a GT or Milton to tame it.

The biggest (or at least scariest bust) for me would probably be the Massoud circle in Kabul. Located in a roundabout outside the US embassy, one of the more targeted spot in the city, known to be attacked several times by Talibans.

Got 30min or is skating in, with a huge crown looking at us and a bunch of ANA soldiers watching us. Suddenly a dude that was a caretaker according to my friends came out from door inside the statue with a stick trying to hit us with the crowd laughing at me, pretty scary moment actually. Eventually the army kicked us out. Cool spot but probably not worth the bust factor  ;D

The tight transitioned fountain in front of the Queens house in London. Skated twice, kicked out twice. The last time they showed genuine disbelief and that it was "like pissing in a church".
Globe CT 4's. End of.

there's that weird i guess art sculpture/installation thing I think in LA that's just some huge random transition for no apparent reason, almost spine shaped but also kind of on an angle, weird to explain. popped up in a couple videos here and there.

Isn’t that MLK monument in Florida a big bust?
