Instead of being productive this evening, I started reading the Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 nonsense.
I've made it through the forward and it is completely unhinged from reality. Of course it contains bits of truth here and there, but it is basically a collection of 4chan ramblings and incomprehensible ideas jammed together. My favorite part is how the author, who has a fucking PhD and makes over 600K per year working for one of the largest think tanks in America, rallies against the "elites." Like, how in the fuck does someone with those credentials pretend not be hyper elite?
Foreword
I. Introduction - America is being killed by anti-American communist woke liberals.
A. The Problem- The 1970s were dark days for America. Today is just like the 1970s. (While the economy slowed in the 70s, inflation was an issue and oil prices were high, I imagine the real enemy for our author is that the gains made during the Civil Rights Movement.)
B. Why is America fucked? - The woke globalist communist big tech/wall street educated elite are destroying the country because they are communists and work for China (Yes, the wolf of wall street isn't driven by greed, but instead woke socialist ideals).
C. What can be done? - Well in 1981 the Heritage Foundation wrote the "Mandate for Leadership" and Reagan enacted its policies, which made America a utopia. Everything was perfect in the 1980s/90s. The Heritage Foundation and Reagan alone won the Cold War. We put all those Black people in prison. We reduced welfare. We made American perfect in the 90s when the murder rate peaked, crime peaked, and we saw public wealth being poured into the pockets of the few. We, the Heritage Foundation, will save America again through our four pillars.
D. The Four Pillars of America - Family, self-governance, national sovereignty, GOD's freedom.
E. Only conservatives care about any of these things and anything outside of these four pillars supports communism and wokeism and will result in your child growing up to be a gay lesbian abortionist communist. And as we will see even the richest people on the planet and those stock brokers who appear to be consumed by capitalism are actually woke communists actively trying to destroy your good Christian family, which is the foundation of America's past and future.
1 Restore Family and Protect the Children
A. Government does nothing to help families or communities. It only harms them. That public "community center" near your home and that public skatepark you've spent years of your life don't exist and if they did they exist they would only make you weak, amoral, and soulless like the children of single mothers.
B. All problems are created by single mothers: "Fatherlessness is one of the principal sources of American poverty, crime, mental illness, teen suicide, substance abuse, rejection of the church, and high school dropouts." (This hyperbolic statement has a grain of truth. Yes, welfare benefits are lesser to couples than two individuals co-habitating and yes, the ideal situation is a family with two happy parents, but 1 happy parent is far better than two unhappy/abusive parents

B. The liberals are coming for your childrens' gender and sexuality and showing them pornography. They are showing your kids pornography. They are the real misogynistists, not us. They and their critical race theory are the real racists, teaching your children racism. They need to be arrested.
C. TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter are the source of all evil with children today. (Social media has its issues so this fear mongering has a grain of truth here as well, but it is framed in the same way the DnD was supposed to be causing Satanism and suicides and murders and the end of America in 1980s when we were Reagan strong.)
2. Dismantle the "Deep State"
A. We want a smaller government (by smaller they mean different as prisons and police budgets will replace welfare and Regan increased the size of the government so there is no reason to believe the size will be smaller, just different).
B. The "Deep State" and its "experts" are coming to get you and your family. We must save you from them. The EPA hates you, Homeland Security is too soft/weak, Dept of Education is "racist and anti-American"; the Dept of Justice hates your daughter but loves those horrible trans; the Pentagon is "woke" and weak; and the Dept of State is tainting the world with wokeisms and abortions.
C. A tough president must fire all of these woke communists and muzzle all of their ideas because we need to be strong to fight off "the threat of the Chinese Communist Party" which should be the presidents highest priority.
3. Defend our borders (from poor people and communists)
A. openness, progress, expertise, cooperation, and globalization are all bad and will result in communists stealing your home and ruining America.
B. Liberals hate you and love everyone else. They don't understand you. And, not just liberals, but all "elites" even if they pretend to be republican. Don't be fooled, they hate you and are out to destroy your family. The Wall Street hedge-fund managers have more in common with socialists than you a real American in Waco Texas (there is not way Waco was chosen by mistake).
C. Expertise is worthless. "Common sense" is worth just as much as experience, study, and success: "Intellectual sophistication, advanced degrees, financial success, and all other markers of elite status have no bearing on a person’s knowledge of the one thing most necessary for governance: what it means to live well." (lol, running a nation is easy.)
C. Liberal elites want to give away our sovereignty to the United Nations. They want "open borders" (ignore that Biden is deporting people and Obama deported more people than Bush Jr.). They are giving away resources that we would otherwise give to you.
D. Environmental extremism is decidedly anti-human (lol).
E. Liberals are to blame for the loss of the factory and globalization, not free market conservatives.
F. Big Tech is run by/for the Chinese communists (lol, gates and Bezsos communist with their hundreds of billions in personal wealth).
G. American colleges are secretly run by the CCP's Confucius Institutes.
4. Baby Jesus Chose America. You must choose baby Jesus.
A. "When the Founders spoke of “pursuit of Happiness,” what they meant might be understood today as in essence “pursuit of Blessedness.” (lol, yea the founders picked a secular word but really meant a religious word.) " Religious devotion and spirituality are the greatest sources of happiness around the world."
B. Masks, shutdowns, and vaccines were bad (and please forget that Trump and Republicans leaned into them very hard at the start of the pandemic).
C. All socialists countries are poor (please forget about Norway and the rest of Europe) and all free-market countries who only operate under the eye of Jesus and don't tax are successful (please forget all the right wing dictatorships and the hell on earth they created during WWII and in Latin America).
All this insanity in the forward is followed by an introduction that tells the reader:
We live in a moment where the country is torn between the woke "revolutionaries" who hate America, the Constitution, and Americans vs real Americans who can appreciate our heroes, the constitution, and so on. The left, who are all woke communist atheist baby killers who take away your car, stove, gender, speech, and children are the enemy within that Lincoln predicted. The threat of the left offers us, those who know the Truth, offers us the right to take extreme steps to make the America we know is God's will. If we don't, only the weak/defective will be in charge. The fundamental hierarchy of humanity of country will forever be corrupted as the liberals allow the weak to be in charge and their government is run by defective and lesser people since they don't discriminate against those with disabilities.
I'm going to try to push through this entire crazy document. It is terrifying how strongly this is worded and how purposefully deceitful and hateful. It is like if ChatGPT was told to re-write most of /pol/ in book form but it wasn't allowed to use of racial slurs. I'd expect this kind of nonsense from even FOX, but the forward written by some asshole with a PhD should be a bit more honest and focused solely on fear mongering hyperbole.
