On Camera Light
« on: September 26, 2022, 03:08:13 PM »
Yo pals. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an on camera light. I'm running an HVX 4:3 with a MKII lens. Up until a couple days ago, I was still using my Bescor light that I've had for like 12 years, but it finally decided to shit the bed. So I'm way out of the loop on this subject and really have no knowledge about LEDs. I appreciate any help y'all can offer!

You can get decent 160 LED lights off eBay for tidy money. Just search 160 LED lights and see what batteries they take, as I di believe they can take other camera batteries.

I got one that takes VX batteries and works great.
i don’t think any of you are real, i think slap was invented by my mom to make me think people want to talk to me

Thanks for the links! I went ahead and ordered this one:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ULTIMAXX-Professional-160-LED-Video-Light-Camera-Hot-Shoe-Mount/400350693

Only $26 total, and it uses the same battery as my HVX so that's definitely a plus. Y'all think it will work out okay for me? If not, I can return within 30 days and try something like the one you suggested.

Appreciate the help!

I have this light that I only used a handful of times. I can vouch it gets the job done. I'd sell for $15-20 if you want it as I don't film anymore. Takes vx batteries or 6 AA batteries. Send a PM if you're interested.

Oh right on. If the one I ordered isn't doing the trick, I'll return it, and I might be hitting you up about that. Thanks!
