This ‘homage’ angle is dumb lol, he’s just a Californian skater who went to New York on a huf trip  and skated things jake shut down over a decade ago. Pretty sure this happens every time a team goes to New York, good on him though
So Colllin have the same t-shirts, seven years by now, at least...

Pretty much any content that examines the influence Mindfield is going to interest me but especially if it's about Jake Johnson. Obligatory - Mason is so fucking gnarly.

Nollie into anything here would be spicy as well.
This is sick, love it, don't get how anyone can hate on anything JJ or Mason related.

“I feel like people may have thought his song was weird at first”

If anything I remember the part being liked more on release because of the song.
Thought I remembered hearing AnCo gave advances to Alien of their new record, given that Merriweather Post and Mindfield dropped so close in proximity.

It's always good to see Jake Johnson and Mindfield getting some love. Mindfield came out when I was in high school and I remember how special it was to me then. At the time I felt like it was the first video in a while that blended art, videography, and skating in a way that really showcased how cool and magical skateboarding can be.

Also, it's so satisfying how balanced Mason's nosegrind is on the bump to ledge.

True but it was building upon the aesthetic of the non-Photosynthesis AWS vids

Indeed, i remember a while ago Watson posted Memory Screen and it was the first time I'd seen it and I was blown away how much of it was referenced in Mind Field literally and figuratively

Devin Appelo did a pole jam lipslide from a pole stuck in the hole in the center of the stairs somehow
