Every skate contest is turning into a big best trick event.
SLS, CPH Open, Dime, the "mini car wash" and Hubba Hideout.
I know some still include the old school 60 second run format and Tampa Pro is more about the runs than best trick (have no idea about X Games these days)
I guess the best trick format suits skateboarding in this era since the level is so high.
The tricks you have to do in your run nowadays are just too difficult to do consistently, so there are so much bails even in a final it's frustrating to watch.
