really sick collection Billy
interesting you were buying all second hand boards for awhile, why was that?
i am just curious about peoples skateboarding journeys so different to mine cause i skate so mcuh alone / with just 1-2 other people always

Thanks. I didn't grow up poor but we didn't have huge disposable income and I just never really asked my parents for too much growing up. I think I just skated so much and would fuck up / snap boards quite quickly, so just got in the habit of getting second hand boards where I could to keep me skating. Never really worked when I was younger so didn't have any money of my own for anything.  It's a shame really because I managed to brute force myself to get pretty good at skating, but with the amount of time I spent doing it I could be so much better. Having all different sized boards with wonky trucks and flatspotted wheels all the time made it a lot harder to get consistent.
During sex to prevent myself from ejaculating I think about Osama Bin Laden running my dick through a sewing machine.

Napkin math:

Pre-2004: 5 boards (Walmart era)
2004-2007: 8 boards (twice a year, bday and xmas era)
2008-2009: 8 boards (age 14/15, skating them till they’re dust, but skating much more)
2010-2012: 36 boards (age 16–18, skating the most in my life, a board a month at least)
2012-2016: 16 boards(college era, skating sparingly, torn meniscus etc.)
2017-2021: 30 boards (mostly filming, but skating a decent amount. Second most active time in my life. New board every ~2 months on average)
2022: 4 boards (so far this year)

Total: 107
Is there any money in skateboarding film anymore?
I dunno about money, but the fun is boomin.

Skating since 2004, and have def had 100+ boards. I’m a gear snob now, buy and stock up on decks all the time.
I’m a ghost that everyone can see.
