Is Ty Segall the best garage rock artist of all time?

The man is incredible. The amount of quality music he's put out is insane. I've seen him two or three times live and he always KILLS it. Not to mention, his music is practically made to skate to or put in your video part. Skateboarding, Ty Segall, and marijuana go together like peaches and cream.  I was reminded of how good he was when I went to see Alex G in Portland recently and I was left a little unsatisfied. The experience made me think about how Ty Segall is actually the more talented and prolific DIY legend but he gets very little recognition compared to someone like Alex G, especially among that Portland hipster crowd. I think that Ty Segall is just as good as, if not even better than Jack White. But that's just my opinion... What do y'all think of Ty? Who's your favorite DIY rocker?

  I'm just not all together sure what garage rock is.  I know Ty Segall is prolific.  He had a song in a surf vid I liked. He covered a T Rex song but it wasn't as good as the og tho it was fine.  He covered a Neilson song too. Really good choices.

yeah i would say they are. I saw them and ty last summer. it was an awesome summer.
