videos: sour
decks: polar
softgoods: polar and sour (but currently it's more leaning towards sour as polar stuff has become incredibly expensive)

Polar because it is a much bigger brand and have a better reach. Sour is cool though! The new Polar video is perhaps their best to this day. And also Hjalte.

Polar cuz they use BBS and Sour uses HLC. I like Polar graphics better also. Overall it seems that Polar produces better quality and more thought out stuff than Sour. I like the Sour team a lot and the videos are great. I would like to support the brand I just never find anything worth buying from them.

yeah i have never really heard anyone hype up Sour decks but Polar decks definintely stand on their own
I thought the Polar video was great, but i have a low attention span so it was a big too long for me, so i liked the sour video better.

It's a complete tossup. I love like half of each of their teams. I guess polar uses better wood and makes better clothes. Sours team and videos might be better though. I guess cumulatively I'd have to go with polar since they're the total package. If sour made better products and had some transition talent this choice would be near impossible for me.

martin's got some pretty sick transition skills. there was an ad of him doing 180 fakie 5-0 over a channel on a gnarly qp with pool coping.

Overall I'd say Polar since it feels like more of a complete brand/there's more effort going into it. I absolutely adore the Sour team and the videos they put out, but the brand itself is very much like Sk8Mafia. Great crew, but their brand identity/art is basically non-existent. They just shit out decks with the logo on it and call it a day.

My main gripe with Polar though is that I always want nearly everything from their drops, but I can't really justify it because of the price.

Are polars softgoods worth the premium? I don't own any $120 pants, but i have bought $50 tees and $100 sweaters from DIME and havent regretted it.
