Growing up as the only girl in one of the biggest skatehalls at the end of nowhere Aurich/ Ostfriesland

In the last years Skateboarding becomes more and more female. Which is good. But we shoud not forget
that even in the last 30 years many girls have skated - they just received not much attention / support from
Magazines and Industrie. Thrasher have changed for a better the last years speaking openly about depression and
drug and alcohol as an problem.
Now its time for domestic violence - We have lost one of us.

Fucking despicable. Breaks my heart when a woman has the strength to leave, only to be let down by the system and be left at the mercy of mentally unstable perpetrators. Why is a perpetrator of domestic violence treated as a sane, functioning human being that will stoically take the punishment and come out of it a changed person? Has this ever happened?

Great post, would be dope if Thrasher were telling here story. Femicides are getting more attention recently but certainly not enough.
