No matter how I feel about either of the contestants, a closely matched game is always way more existing. Not feeling that last trick at all. Also, flatground tricks should be banned.

Also, no one thinks Monster is cool. Nike, on the other hand, had successfully found its place in skateboarding (I still haven't skated a pair).

What’s the deal with the previous king of Macba contests? I was just assuming it was people who made it their home away from home like Tiago or Blake or Nassim. Now thinking of it, Idk who the actual BCN locals are in the contest.

Anyway, so like Carolina sponsored the contest and wedged their riders into the bracket? No idea who the others are but there’s no way skategoAt or mamapants kicked it there everyday to become down with everyone. Keep that shit in Venice and give the spots to some real plaza skaters.

Carlos has the untouchable style and his abilities seem unlimited.

I remember when I first saw Gio V on slides and grinds. I was screaming at my tv when he stuck that last trick but just barely slid out for second place.

I back all his tricks. Fakie is superior to all other stances.

I can't stop thinking about Carlos rolling up to the block. It's all about that wind-up before the trick. So much style. The insane tricks are like the icing on the cake with that guy.

yeah i don’t like that or the repeat trick variations. blake has grown on me a lot through the last couple of years, especially in this years contest of all things surprisingly. his style used to bug me, i think living in barcelona has really been helpful though. his fakie ollie over the ledge reminded me of sheffey over the table. i wish he was still in. i hope iqui wins the whole thing though, dude deserves so much more.

This KOM feels a bit stale compared to the previous one's. Maybe it's because KOM is more popular now, but a lot of the skater's seem to be treating it more like the competition it is vs playing a game of skate with your friend. After the initial games, I felt like I knew all the trick's each person was going to cycle through.

1 & 2 are just a regional thing, it's way more common to say to fakie in middle and northern Europe. I've actually never heard 180 out or revert instead of to fakie outside of Spain. Maybe some French and Italian pals can chime in, I don't know how they say it there.

The table should be banned. You've got one of the most iconic plazas to work with.
