Yo, what about K Mags TWO ten second penalties? Dude is known to be all aggro, but this seemed way too harsh…

Dude was mental…love to see it, he still kept that lead too which was hilarious before being dropped in ranking due to penalties.  Everyone was having trouble passing him and made me lol.

Also made me lol how piastri couldnt pass lewis and his pit wall was like “hello Oscar is lewis weaving in the straight too much”

Just finished watching the reply of Melbourne, was great. Sainz is on fire. Russell's crash was intense.

Sprint was cool too,  love seeing that excitement from lando when he won and lewis giving him props on the track melted my heart

Is IndyCar significantly different than F1 at its core?   I understand they do oval tracks and the the other tracks are a bit wider, but it seems fairly similar (but I’m looking with uninformed eyes)

I personally have a hard time with just how the cars look, I watch the indy500 annually but that's about it...its sort of is more boring than F1 at times when i did watch it

I started dipping my toes lately, just watching the extended highlights on YouTube. I think it’s sick, but it’s really confusing how there might be different drivers each race and that team cars could be running different liveries from each other.

But the racing is great, feels way more scrappy than F1.

Edit: Great GP, Lando winning made me feel good. Weird that Trump showed up in the pits?

Trump in the pits was fucked up, I only heard about it a few days after the race, almost like the were trying (with good reason) to cover it up...

Yeah Trump being there put a big fucking fart cloud over Lando’s first win. Especially afterword reading Lando’s quote that Trump is “someone you’ve got to have a lot of respect for” oof, na I’m good pal!

yeah this cognitive dissonance is confirming why im loosing more interest in F1, hearing about this, the Christian Horner situation, and also heard Logan Sargents family are Floridian billionares who also has ties to supporting Trump financially...weird

Was a fan of zak brown and now i realize he's trump supporter he looking super whack.  I actually have a lot of respect because he took the money he won and started to fund his motorsports interest.

don't wanna jinx it, but it feels like a title fight is on our hands. And the crazy part is that it could be a mclaren/ferrari/redbull one.

It's still my favorite race, was crazy. Ocon has to go that was plain stupid. Magnussen was so lucky to not get more penalty points as that would have been it for him also. Stoked for Charles! Yeah looks like this season might be good after all! They need to get rid of hard tires at Monaco thou, and the red flag shouldn't count as the mandatory pit stop.

for real I knew oscar couldnt overtake...but boy that kid showed some raw racing talent. If it wasn't Charles I would have wanted oscar to win monaco.

Yeah Oscar is the real deal. Definitely one to watch. It’s crazy how calm he is. He’ll get violently and stupidly taken out of a race by someone else’s reckless driving and just radio in “I got hit.” Lol it’s inspiring.

Yeah plus love that McLaren are competitive again. The livery at Monaco was sick also. Funny how they are faster than Mercedes team but using their power plants. Pretty stoked on F1 at the moment, at the beginning of the season I thought it would be redbull show all over again but McLaren and Ferrari have caught up!

Its like you know what they always say about the quietest person in a party is most likely a killer, I feel like oscar goes to all these F1 parties and just sits in the corner on his phone just wanting to just race his car and win.

BTW i found this interview with Lewis kinda enjoyable...it was funny how he told Sean how most of the sauces were props and how they should do it next time.  He also said some funny shit about the car he's driving this year

This is exactly why I cant stand Lewis. He is a crybaby, and talks shit about this years car any time he gets the opportunity. We get it, and everyone knows that Mercedes just didnt hit the sweet spot with this concept, but its very disrespectfull to all the people that work on the car in the factory to ALWAYS just talk shit. Everyone knows he jurt wishes to be already at Ferrari, but damn, be a little professional and have some respect. Mercedes gave you 6 titles. You dont see other drivers that have shitty cars, talk so much crap

He isn't tho...I get you might not like the guy...I mean most of the drivers on the grid have got an enormous ego about themselves and I have a hard time even listen to Verstappen about anything when his races go wrong...and being a 7x -most winning F1 driver is almost sure to have its own walking on clouds perspectives where you expect shit to work for you.  I mean if your winning X games or SLS or whatever and your sponsors were making shitty trucks that kept fucking up your shit you'd probably be complaining too about them not providing you with the right tools, you wouldnt be like "naw man all those kids at the warehouse are putting in mad hours, these trucks arent the problem."

But dude that Merc is kinda shitbox, and has been for last 3yrs...its amazing lewis was able to get that many points with that shitty car last season, and this season its hilarious because even Alanso was like why would I go to Mercedez they don't have a fast car and don't look to have one in the foreseeable future.  Toto was even quoted saying they currently have a "physics" problem in the engineering dept

I can't believe they renewed Checo for another 2 years. What the fuck are they thinking. It's gotta be just about sponsorship dollars and that's it.

@Abyss1 I agree on Lewis. He's been handed a warped deck id course he's gonna complain.

My initial reaction to Checos signing was like yours, but… what other options do they have? They’re obviously keeping max because he’s an absolute alien, and in that case they need a CLEAR number two driver, who just shows up and does the job. Granted, that’s not what’s Checo has been doing this season but still: who would be a better option?

Either Max is on his way out or what is the purpose of the Redbull academy...half the grid is former redbull academy drivers. I thought their whole stick was to churn out drivers.  I think the company isn't in a good place financially since the founder died and the kids stepped in.  Newey leaving and other cars catching up to their car ...not looking great at redbull.  They probably know he's their best option and hes actually a decent driver for the most part, Im sure he brings in social media #'s from mexican fans so thats helps their diversity

Better option for me would be Liam or Yuki, but they made it clear in Drive to Survive that redbull isnt really fucking with them

Things to consider:
1. Per has more wins and podiums in the last 3 years than any free agent.
2. He is apparently good at working with Engineers on car feedback.
3. He still finished 2nd last year in WDC.
4. He won't challenge Max.
5. Anyone forget AD 2021? Fucking epic drive to contain Lewis and help deliver Max to the championship

He's definitely the safest pick. Sainz wants to win WDC and he and Max aren't best of friends. Yuki has had test laps and clearly hasn't put up a time that would make them move his seat. He's got a temper that's better, but there's no guarantee he moves into a faster car and is any better. They're also not at the stage where they care about development at least until the regs change.

Lewis is pretty honest and often pretty harsh on himself. I don't love his driving style, but he's good for the sport. He's the only driver that seems to use his platform to really stand up for anything he believes in and he's great with fans. He's kinda neutral in my book, but I think it shows that he's only really solid when he's on a team that has the best car. When his setup is on the right track he's great, but he's not the best offensive driver and not aggressive enough when he has to scrap through the pack.

I kinda was thinking that Danny Ricardo his performances in the RB car are not enough..

Didn't think Ocon would be racing this weekend!

AD21 was a good drive for perez, but it wasn't really how Max won which is weird because max was pretty over checo after that manaco crash a couple years ago, he was quoted saying he wont help him  get 2nd, maybe their friends now

Ive been watching a ton of F1 TV and they are showing the Lewis Nico season and dude can drive, not sure if the new regulation force the driving style change but I agree his race style isn't great to watch because he's probably the best driver when it comes to tire deg. since the tire regulations changed things and having a weird cockpit that is to far on the nose doesnt help either.
