idk the name of it, but this style of slightly emo meets university student meets clark kent will be big.
it is growing in europe already.
like austyn stephens meets conor oberst meets nestor judkins meets seth cohen, propably skating with glasses.
this time they are into (experimental) electronic music instead of indie rock tho.

Do you mean this prehistoric emo style?

hah yes

Sometimes I see Zoomers or young Millennials refer to something as "emo" and it looks nothing like this and I don't know what they are talking about.
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

I would say that this has been a trend here in Finland for a few years already. Back when I started skating in the 90s this would have not been accepted at all. These kids are looking like total nerds by 90s standards and are ripping like mad. I think it’s very cool and I’m all for it.

I expect Butter Goods baggy clothes to be out of style next year. It’s so overblown now. Even the rural kids are wearing full on Butter Goods costumes. I’ve got nothing against those clothes as such but it’s reached a point where it has lost all originality so it’s bound to die off.

Looking more feminine or androgynous is gonna trend even harder in 2023 I think. I think that’s cool too. People should be able to look how they feel no matter what their gender or sexual preferences are. I’d like to feel more pretty on occasion myself but I’m old and stuck in my ways a bit so I’ll root for the kids instead!

More Weckingballs as fitness skaters take form. Post hammer flexing replaces running away from the stairs, pushing madly down the hill or sweaty bro hugs.
Long distance lines become the norm (Mason Silva picking up where Ricky Oyola left off).

Okay this time for real.

Imagine this, you get up at 6am and make some coffee.
You fill that coffee in your mug. And then you take that mug outside with you. In your car, on the train, in the bus.
You carry your mug the whole day in your hand.

Already seen that twice in the last few days.
You heard it here first.

Of course I have seen Thermos mugs ^^

But I mean like, the mug that you use at home. But you also use it outside in the real world.

Some people even wear their bathroom slippers outside.

Yeah that happens too. Just don't leave your dirty mug in the work van

Skateshops need this!

Filled with these

Been saying this!
I was at LACMA for a Scandinavian design exhibit and the gift shop had sockerbit X LAMCA branded swedish candy.

In my neighborhood there's a streetwear store/theatre up the street that just launched their own candy and also stocks Swedish candy.

They're only getting stronger. Everytime I go out I see about a 5% increase in mullets. I even had one for a while but went to my little nephews soccer game and saw it's like almost every kid. Don't want to be the old guy who's trying to be cool like the kids.

Older guys putting out video parts but it’s mainly them breezing right next to obstacles, and like coasting down small stair sets.

Suspenders worn up is the next big one. Possibly with shants. Bonus points if shants are plaid.
