Hardies into a board brand would have been best. Boardies is a fun name, but I don’t think Tyshawn or Nak are playing games haha.


Hardies could have evolved into a complete hard goods brand (wheels, bushings, bearings). Still could. Honestly, King boards might have a chance but, the first graphic we are all seeing isn’t it. Maybe some editing genius can hypnotize us with the first edit they release but, damn.

I still remember when FA released their first boards with their elementary school pics. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever to not at least do their Hulkamania logo on a board. Years later now, their graphics (I assume) are liked and the school picture deck is sort of cool when a skater turns pro.

And I wasn't really aware of Girl Skateboards when they released their first decks but were people really into that graphic as well? Most first graphics are pretty lame out the gate.

The crown as a graphic isn’t bad per se, it’s really the super generic execution of it. The ones you mention have a good concept behind it (FA school photo) or a simple logo executed well (girl). So far what we’ve seen from King has neither.
