As a Skateshop buyer I take a few things into consideration before bringing in a new brand.
King has a two time soty, lots of fans from FA(boards seem to be the same shapes).
Lots of launches are kind of soft where the people involved with the brand maybe under estimate how tough it is to create an aesthetic that fits what they are doing.
If you are into skating and run a shop and have a chance to carry the newest thing sometimes you got to take a chance and hope it sells well.
I remember when plan b first re launched and I made sure to have it and no one cared. A year or so later it was all over zumiez and people asked for it often.
In todays ultra fast market when the kids ask you for the newest and you don’t have it they just buy online. I’m trying to keep them in the habit of shopping us for the newest. If you lose them for a moment they just switch to online.
