Spacer ring stuck to my vx

Any tricks or tips to get spacer rings off of my vx / step up rings unstuck from themselves?

If you have a Exercise Band kicking around, wrap it around the filter and use it as grip.  If that does not work I have used vise grips, but just plan on destroying the filter.  While doing both make sure your have a hand on the front element holding it tight so you don't cause any damage to the camera.

Put you shoe on your hand and press it against the filter and twist. Worked well for me in the past. Fresh shoes work best.

yeah the shoe trick always works if the filter is protruding from the front of the lens, or otherwise if it's recessed in you can use a soft cruiser wheel to get it started

I was comparing how the Mk1 looks on the XF100 with a few different setups of spacer rings and what not. then I had a spacer ring wedge its self good on the fisheye, then got it stuck on the camera. Not good.

I just wanna thank everyone for the shoe trick as that worked a treat.
