Socks
« on: November 18, 2022, 05:35:42 PM »
40sAndShorties used to have these mystery sock boxes, like 20 pairs for $50. Socks were hella premium, last forever and fit my size 12 comfortably. Haven’t seen one in like 2 years tho and they need to run those back. HUF socks are too small and so are Psockadelics; since hella shit is on sale can anyone recommend some brands please.

Volcom 3 packs fit good and cost isn’t bad for three pairs. Stance is best if you want to go more premium.

I pick up stance when I see em at Ross, they really are nice. Psockedelics sucked. Volcom are ok.

I never have went wrong with toy machine socks...they are a little on the thick side which is why i like them.

I used to only wear Stance but Ethika threw in a pair of socks the last time I ordered underwear and they’re amazing. I ended buying like 10 pairs. They have a Black Friday sale right now so socks are like $6 a pair or $5 is you don’t mind a “mystery” color

Stance is worth the price, the thick ones at least. The graphic ones (stuff with pictures like Shark Week and flowers, not the pattern ones) are usually printed on thin socks. I would buy one pair first to see if you like them, and then after multiple wears look into buying more pairs.

Just wish stance socks weren’t so ugly. 40sAndShorties were very decent. And toy machine wants TWELVE $ PER PAIR. Tried my luck with $50 for 10 from FA. Thank you.

Expensive but I skate darn tough socks a lot. I've had the same three pairs for like two years and wear them for backpacking, snowboarding, skating, they're great. Comfy, regulate temperature well, don't smell so much (wool), tough. Supposedly they'll replace them with their lifetime warranty, I estimate these pairs will last another few years yet.

I like the Dickies Dri-tech socks; well made, durable, feet stay dry, and a 6 pack is around $15.

The three packs of Nike Sb Dry-Fit are like 13 euro can't beat that. Some one gave me a pair of spitfire socks for xmas last year they are great quality. Plus like other have said above stance are great also.

I use anything that is >75% cotton and contains no polyamide. I also try to avoid anything that says "dry" on the packaging, as these ones are incompatible with my body and make me sweat buckets. The two pairs of stance that I had were good, but did not last as long as nikes. Has anyone tried Stinky socks?

Skating I need lots of cotton, anything puffy and cushy I can’t hang with.  It’s weird because I skate cup soles but it’s the same idea, board feel.  Wearing around and stuff, I get it though wool…synthetic, keep my feet dry.

Bombas are great if you’re down to spend the extra $$

I also like stance, but I think if you’re already gonna spend that money you might as well just get bombas because they’re better

Or, the standard puma socks are actually pretty great if you want a thinner more athletic sock

Dickies Dri-Tech. It just their regular sock, but I guess they are moisture wicking. You can get them off amazon or your local work-wear store for like 20ish bucks for 12. They are simply the best.

Stance are the best overall.  I wear a lot of uniqlo socks as well. A lot of them are. on. the thinner side but they have these sortmof mid height socks that are nice and cushioned that are great for skating. They are tall enough to wear high top shoes with but they dont cover too much of your leg and make you get too sweaty.

Stance, but only the thick ones (hiking w/ Merlino Wool or basketball)

I also have 5-11 Merlino Wool socks that have the same toe + heel cushion systems as Stance, but they aren't as thick in the non-cushioned sections.

Really good quality, I keep them for years, high or "invisible", made in France, that's all I need.
I wish they'd make thick ones though.

I wear suit socks only, best board feel because they are thin but give some protection because they are high. Thick socks give me blisters because they make the toes rub against each other. Obviously I can’t wear shorts because I would look like a kook but I don’t want to wear shorts anyway because it does not get too hot very often round here and I need the extra layer of fabric between my shins and the bloard.

Tl;dr: suit socks
why come?
