Movable Barrier
« on: December 12, 2022, 12:09:55 PM »
My friend has a big plastic construction site barrier that he stole from a site a while back. We have put it at a few different spots, mainly different bumps to hit it like a bump to ledge or to bump over.
Do you think it is valid to film clips on this type of spot? Yes because the obstacle is from the streets anyway? Or no because you can move it how you want it? We were discussing it at the spot the other day so I figured I’d let y’all have at it.

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be valid. Unless its one of those really small barriers that are knee high.

I got a black plastic 1080 kicker ramp that I drag behind my six speed to my friend's place in the next cul de sac over. Am I wack for this?

that would be kinda sick though. just moving it all around the city and seeing how creative you could get with it.

Not the worst concept I’ve heard of, by any means.
Call the vid “Retrograde Orbit” or some other astronomical reference to that oddball moon that shares a name with those movable jawns.

you can use it for a fun edit like Polar did with that steel grate in one of their earlier videos where they dragged that thing around town and used it to make a bunch of fun wallride/bump spot iterations or something creative like that

the real question is... where can we still find skateable ones? All the new ones I see have crazy notches on the top.

my dream trick is to put a baby triton barrier to a tall triton barrier like a T for Tony. then do grind to wallie from little to large.

Would be kinda like the GX1000 El Camino vid. A short edit of one obstacle moved all around a city for different uses is kinda neat I think. Limitation can breed creativity.

This all sounds tight. A few dudes have done one spot parts. Flip the script do one obstacle skated differently at different spots would be sick.

Also def a valid obstacle

only if you put an official sticker on it you took from the city that says "property of [city name]" on it so people will know you're a true derelict
