Anything eS with the swift 1.5 outsole
[close]
Do these shoes have a midsole, or does the insole do all the work? I checked the website and they don’t list it as having a midsole
[close]
yeah, if you’re looking for a midsole, perhaps emerica KSL’s are a better bet!

Agree on the Swift 1.5.

I find the heel fits a bit looser than I like, but not a deal breaker.

My favorite of the eS range is the Accel Everstitch Plus - same outsole and hidden lace loops like the Swift 1.5 but with the strap to keep your ankle and heel really snug.

Lakai Telfords XLK. Any XLK really

NOT these, unless it's the Telford on the Atlantic sole. The Atlantic XLK sole is pretty solid but the Telford and Manchester XLK sole is a paper thin cup that is not supportive, really.

It's not that popular around here but the Marana is a really good and durable cupsole that offers a lot of protection. I have had it some years ago and was very happy with it.

The Marana and Joslin don't get enough love around here. I've skated multiple pairs in a row because of how reliable they are.
That Michelin sole is probably one of the grippiest on the market. It's almost as grippy as top vulcs and is one of the best of top cups. They both seem chunky at first but if you lace them up and start walking in them, that bulk subsides quickly. I'm a broken record pushing these but it's because they work.

Marana
Joslin
KSL G6

All three of these are supportive, not overly chunky, and have fantastic grip

I fuck with DC cupsoles (Legacy Slims, Kalis S and Williams Slims) they are supportive enough, have great board feel and are not that chunky. I'm skating the éS Quattro right now and they are fucking fire too. I was not.expecting them to be this good.

reebok workout low. the ones with the one piece toe that they wear throughout palasonic. lowkey one of the best skate shoes of all time.

extremely hard to find, they seem to only sell the workout plus these days, which have a paneled toe

They had a workout court that looked like it skated well, I think Watson posted it in the “non skate shoes that are good for skating” thread

I think Ice Cube was/is on Reebok. Ice Cube might be my favorite hip hop artist. Death Certificate is my favorite hip hop album of all times. Sir Jinx was the fucking greatest.
I'd definitely skate a Reebok shoe.
Also who was that in the Reebok pump commercial in the 80s. He carved over the hoop and drop the ball in the basket. Was kinda a woah moment as a kid.

+1 for the Joslin's. Wish they still made the Joslin 2's.

The Michelin sole lasts for so long. The midsole will be done before the sole is worn out.

Quattros are terrible, at least in my experience after 2 weeks they felt like shit and hurt my lower back. Sucks to say but every rime I try to give éS a shot my back ends up paying the consequences.

Tried on the 1010's and they arent as bulky as i imagined. But that might be me imagining something ridiculous than them being not chunky.

at first i felt like they were bulky but after skating them and walking around that feeling went away....they are supportive but not super puffy like some DVS/ DCs or some other early 2000s shit.

quality on the 1010s or NBs in general is second to none in my experience.

I gotta drop a nod for the Cons Fastbreak's as well, got them all leather navy blue pair
and now that they're broken in (not that that took long) they're the shoes I'm gonna
stockpile.

I was gonna byte on those navy joints, but I'm so worried about TTS or the 1/2 down BS I skipped over them.

How are people finding the fit? I can't find any around me to try on.

Fastbreaks are usually TTS for most from what I've seen. I had a pair once in my normal size but I felt like I could have gone up 0.5. I've only had one pair, though

maybe the busenitz? I find it supportive enough and it slims down enough at the toe so it doesn’t feel in the way at all

Got a pair when they first came out and they felt like high heels.

Got a pair when they first came out and they felt like high heels.

Because of the heel lift or because they are so narrow at the toe area?

They are a great looking shoe and I've bought them on 3 occassions only to sell them all 3 times because they are way too narrow.

This is what I need to do but sadly I have some Busenitz broken in a ready to skate next but I agree with the guys above that they feel weird and narrow. I once described them as "sensually shaped" so I can see the high heel reference haha

That's weird cause I found the opposite.  I usually wear a 10 in Vans, but I got a 9.5 in the fastbreaks and they fit perfect for my foot at least.
