2nd vote would be for PJ. sometimes it is a fine command of the english language to say nothing and he extended that to skating. PJ's plan B part is the emperor's new clothes.

This. He never showed up his real potential talent, dude had one of biggest paychecks from nike to do nothing than flatground tricks. Maybe that weak last  video part wasnt reject clips.

Luan is an enigma for me. It is super frustrating that the parts he has put out always seem like the result of a week's filming or so. But every time he appears in slides and grinds it just looks so surreal how fast and popped he can skate - he has the skills to make a part that will go down in history as one of the greats, but it doesn't seem like something he's interested in approaching.

sounds like he doesnt have something new up his sleeve... could be the first step out of direct relevance?

he was directly relevant at one point?

Ignatius starting the New Year off with one of his turd-faced comments, nice.

Yes, there was a point were Luan seemed just one part away from catapulting his career into legendary status.

Misdirection, classic Ignatius.

I do remember when one of my comments was misconstrued as racist. Was definitely bummed on that - I'm still bummed on it TBH. I love so many skaters of all regions and races of the world.

I can't argue against the misogynist part, it fit the definition. I thought I was being cheeky and it was just douchey.

Ahh damn. Since Nike stopped producing Janoski shoes, I haven’t spent a penny for Nike products.

I don’t understand what they were thinking. Huge dealbreaker for me.

Yea I think Luan stopped putting footage out around the same time heyo!

Definitely give them a A for effort. But they suffer the same issue as Lakai with just a really bad logo. It also looks like an Andy Jenkins design.

First notable pro on Tesla would be sick but he'd need more street footy and slightly baggier pants to fit the vibe. I'd like to see Tesla come to the US so maybe it'd be a channel for that becoming a reality. I think ppl in the US would prob cop his shoes.

it's pretty clear tho : Luan likes to skate skateparks and (sometimes) plazas which make up for fine instagram clips but boring parts. he is like a gymnast, comfortable in a gymnasium going over the same obstacles over and over, not interested in throwing himself over 20 stairs rails. As a result he's able to produce a lot of instagram clips and perform well in contests while limiting possible body damage, i think it's worked pretty well for him these past 10 years

It's funny how Rodrigo's last name got shortened to TX as unpronounceable to the general skateboarding public despite being a big name in the game. Yet in boxing, there's a C+/B level fighter like Patrick Teixeira which every random meathead wannabe boxing pundit could easily pronounce yet he was devoid of any fighting alias which is all too common in the hurt game. I thought skateboarding was a more international and accepting thing but who knows? Maybe not. Just a stupid drunken thought. Ignore me.

/edit I forgot to mention the boxer's lack of nickname and despite being an actual "sport" (more of a business really)  boxing is very nationalistic and still extremely racist and narrow-minded sport. Believe me, I frequent a high-traffic boxing forum too and it's not pretty...

there’s also Mark Teixiera, who played 1B for the New York Yankees, and the media handled his name just fine

Rodrigo TX is a boss nickname, very recognizable. I think at the time there were other Brazilian Rodrigos in skating so he couldn't go by first name basis like Luan and Tiago have since done, the football star way.
