I don't have truck madness..? I have one skateboard I actually ride and it has Ace Trucks on it. I also have a cruiser with some old Indy 149s which I found at a thrift store.

I just think the Ace has the most slim, unique and interesting truck profile.

It was a rhetorical question. I would never shame others for their unquenchable thirst for truck promiscuity.

Aces look like toy store Indys. I actually have a weird reaction to seeing them on setup where my brain thinks that the rider is just on a defect Stage XI. I cannot stand the way they look and the "loose trucks save lives" persona attached to them where like 90% of the dudes that ride them overcarve and swerve far too much and I just want to tell them that they can use another brand of trucks and the same tricks won't be such a PITA.

i wonder why I was never attracted to them.

Suspension trucks never attracted me either.

I've seen krux pop out of the pivot cup, that's unattractive.

I don't get hard for Ace and Independent without the Iron cross is not the same.

I think its partially due to the diminishing stigma of skateboarding well into your 30s and 40s.

Maybe this is for the gear thread but I feel like bigger/longer boards were driven by Indy's being the default for so long. Being big and tippy people sought out longer wheelbases and wider boards to control them more and in some cases get better pop. Now that Venture is a player again, Thunder seems to be pretty solid in the top tier, and a few smaller brands have followings you're seeing boards get a bit smaller again.

Depending on what time period you're talking about I think it was the opposite. People rode Indy's because for a long time they were basically the only company making an 8 and bigger truck. I'm more talking about 00-10 basically up until theeve or the thunder 149 came out whichever was first. Technically there were ace but nobody would touch them at that time
