I may or may not have boneless "bigspinned" down an 8 stair
[close]
Can you explain what this means? I’m trying to picture it
[close]

Clearly you never had a boneless kid around when you were growing up
[close]
Sadly my crew has never included one. I honestly feel like I missed out now.
The important question is did you roll up 15 feet before the stairs already pre grabbing roast beef?

In middle school there was a solid two weeks after baker has a deathwish came out where me and my friend would ironically say “green room or die” or “for satan” before trying tricks, we acted like it was a joke but deep down we loved it.

must be reading this post, you gotta do better
In our defense we both made matching deathwish tees by spray painting the stenciled logo on a white t so the noxious fumes were probably getting to us a bit

Around 7th grade I would pretend to be dumber than I am cause I thought that's what a real skater would be like. A bad Spicoli imitation basically. Got tired of acting the part after a month or so. Also pretending to have "madness" for a few weeks after that one Reynolds Epicly Later'd came out.
i love skateboarding all the time, but sometimes i wish i was one of those douchebags who hangs out with hot girls and parties every week

i used to do what i called "no comply handflips"

basically you go to do a no comply (put front foot on the ground, pop the tail with the back foot) and when the board pops up in the air, you reach your front hand down and smack the board (downward motion) so it essentially does a kickflip rotation, then land back on it with both feet. i would also do variations of this like "no comply hand frontside flip" or "no comply hand hardflip" (you get the picture)

admittedly i never took them seriously and even when i was like 14, i knew it was a joke trick, but i definitely did it enough that the lines were blurred.

now that i think about it, i should bring these back. i may be cringe, but i will be free

I think those can be sick. Fun dorking around tricks. Scott Stevens (pro snowboarder) does them a bunch. He posts low impact skating clips quite often and he just looks like he’s having a ton of fun.

As a teen I used to absolutely berate my younger brother when I didn't like how he filmed something. In one particularly heinous instance, he was 10 or 11 years old and I made him film my shitty kickflip attempts down a 3 stair for literal hours on end. When I finally landed it he didn't quite get it on film and I absolutely lost my shit. Focused my board and told him he would have to get me a new one because he fucked up filming and made me do what I did... I have very few regrets in life, but I really fucking wish I hadn't been such an asshole to my brother growing up.

Fuck, I did this to an ex. Fuckin blamed her and all smh thats my worst as well.

Josh Kalis cosplay for sure.

But hey, at least I wasn't telling people I was sponsored while I wasn't. A kook in my area kept claiming he was sponsored and he couldn't skate for shit ...

Bert slides after watching Lords of Dogtown when it came out.

My friends and I would do “pig style” where our asscracks would show like in Slaughterhouse.

I saw Van Wastell do those lil scrape ollies he was so good at and after doing them very badly for like 4 months I fucked up my ollies.

didn't every teenage skater alive at that time do that shit?

my cringe thing was being the boneless guy when i was a teenager.

I was the footplant guy for a few years before I started doing flip tricks again

Was written out of my fathers will cause i wouldn’t help him and spent a lot of the money he already gave me on trying to convince friends that I was sponsored “head to toe” by element.

I still do them. Seeing creager do it off a curb in menikmati is still burned into my brain.

Might know that kook. But anyway, fully grown men in their 30s / early 40s are still cosplaying kalis.

I'll drive past a skatepark first to get a look at the crowd before I actually pull in and skate.

Can't count the number of times I just go straight home instead

That’s not cringe, that’s mental health.

I've been stalking the Gonz channel. He definitely thinks I'm insane but still plays with me online. He always post a video response to my questions so it's fun af.

Definitely cringe shit I'm doing but I can't help it. I love Mark.
He's like the only pro I've ever seen that is as street as me.

I believe in his art too.

Damn. I like that one better than crook ta crooks or nose to crooks or whatever.
.I always felt that no one could do those good. No even like emb heads. Total little kid trick for people who skate slow and like stupid ass small baby wheels and tight ass trucks.

You know the soulless skater.

The combo that's a valid trick to me is
bs nose grind shuv 5oh. You can run it backwards but it never looks good with closed shoulders.

PJ beat it over the head tho.

not to derail the thread but did anyone ever do front crook to front lip? Mainly asking bc it would look ridiculous and now I want to see one.

i skated in like a 5x white tall tee once or twice around 05

also me and all my friends would skate in white tees and 59/50 fitted baseball hats at the same time, we all had a different team. i wore the boston hat, these were like the real fancy all over print design ones too

i even skated in a michael vick falcons jersey while wearing a braves hat to the side before.

lol so bad

In the early 2000's there was a for runner to CPH open, called Cph pro or something. Ben Krahn was skating, and it looked like he was wearing a g-string as underwear. I was young and a bit drunk and when I bumped in to him I asked him. He was cool about it and said it was just laces he used as a belt.  ;D

Back when I skated I had 50-50 fs shoves on a very heavy rotation. I did them all the time and people in my local knew me for them. I was basically the local Beatrice Domond.
