Using vx1000, vx2000 and trv900 for the same video / opinion?
« on: February 17, 2023, 11:08:56 AM »
How illegal is it in your opinion to use vx1000 and trv900 in daylight and vx2000 in lowlight for the same part? Normally I would not consider mixing different cameras in the same video (except Super8 or similar) but with these three I am not sure.

a lot of japanese videos like the lenz videos use vx2000 at night, zero videos use vx2000 at night. baker videos swap between trv900/vx. people have been using multiple cameras in projects for years. its more about the filmer/skating, dont worry about the camera so much.

Pretty straightforward answer, thanks. I guess I needed to hear that parts were filmed this way without me even noticing it.
In my opinion at some point it becomes kind of a Frankenstein-youtuber-montage abomination by using too many different cameras if there is no well-thought artistic concept behind it.

I personally don't care. You do what you have to to make the part. VX1000 shite in low light? Grab the camera that's better for night time footy! If sound is bugging ya you could always grab a VXMic or the custom ones and you'll be pretty close like

Definitely use vx2000 for low light, infinitely better than its predecessor and it’ll blend in no problem.

I've mixed clips and sometimes it can be noticeable, but no one cares anymore in 2023 really.

The last vid I filmed had a mix of VX21, TRV and VX1 and seemed to piece together fine.

You can setup a TRV and VX2 similar to a VX1, as long as you don't try to make it 'golden, yo'. It doesn't translate too well, which you'll probs know.

i don’t think any of you are real, i think slap was invented by my mom to make me think people want to talk to me

I actually thought that this is the least illegal way of using these cameras together for the same project.

I’m not trying to copy Beagle or something (also I think his footy is sometimes too golden). I have lots of old footy from a friend filmed with trv and was wondering if I could add the footy to a project that is filmed with vx1000 without being too illegal. I know it is kind of embarrassing how much thought I put into it.

Not embarrassing like. I'd say use it. If someone gives you grief tell them to fuck off

VX and TRV mix just fine when you match the image settings. Premiere's fast color corrector should be enough in post if needed but fixing the VX2000/TRV900 audio is way more limited.
