Are you kidding me, rieder kit was basically Post-American apparel. Thin t shirts and skinny jeans double cuffed up to flood. He just took out the colors really. Might as well be wearing a deep v in some instances

Dylan didn’t wear dickies 874 and wife beaters - he wore black skinny jeans and torn up v necks - different looks , I’d say Dylan’s look was more euro designer vibes then greaser vibes , both looks are stripped down - like no logos on t shirts etc. but the greaser look that Berle goes for is much more LA gangster like the movie “blood in blood out” while Dylan dressed more like a Parisian poet with alcoholism

Dylan wore lots of stuff. He even wore cargo pants at the X games. It's not a big deal

“It’s not a big deal” we all j debating here - ur tryna make it sound like he didn’t have one super dialed in style - he did and he didn’t dress like “eh I wear lots of stuff” at all he had one of the most specific looks a pro skater has ever had . Also when did he wear cargos? Can’t find evidence anywhere , I’m sure he did though and I wanna see

I meant more it's no big deal referring to this style as the Dylan style.

he was a legendary cocksman, looked great on the board, and if you try to dress like him you'll just look like a dime store rip-off so don't do it

There's that guy on Stereo that's really going for the whole dylan thing, he's kind of like a middle class man's arne stein cause he has better skills and a modeling contract.

Skated with him back in 2015 as he was residing in Georgia at the time & he was at the local park I was at while I was down visiting relatives. Say what you will but seeing him skate then was wild. Great style, skated fast & wasn’t your typical young kid with no idea.

I get the dislike for the look or style associated with Dylan. It’s simply not for everyone. I’ve been into the look for awhile myself & it certainly has to also do with playing in bands, getting into printmaking & meeting others who were part of the music scene & art scene. Obviously skating & admiring Dylan too. Love loafers, love tucking my shirt in, all of it. But it’s certainly not a carbon copy. Never was. Just influence from Dylan & many others in the world.

Honestly when you see it in the wild or when I go out & skate with my shirt tucked in, no one says a word or at least has the guts to say anything. Not sure if that’s because they don’t actually care or they’re pissed that everyone else has the same DC’s & polar board, polar pants & a Depop account with a similar name.

I'm on your side bro. I watch Andrey's footage and I enjoy seeing people skate in something other than a garbage bag outfit. It's a rarity these days. Let's talk loafers, I need new ones that are similar to Dylan's, like drivers with flat soles don't have the tread going up the heel

Ethan Fowler was just a dime store Neil Young with those sweaters & boot cuts. Even had the shaggy haircut during that time period.

I can’t do a V neck. Makes me feel like the neck is ruined on my shirt and gives me anxiety. So no “the Dylan outfit” for me.

Templeton was running something pretty similar before him. People have and always will wear plain white shirts jeans/dickies and I’m here for it. Classic style that goes well paired with a wooden toy

I always read the title of this thread as a question.

"Tired of hearing about the "Dylan outfit?""

No. It's a great outfit.
