Great read, always wondered how Puleo's name ended up on those boards. Felt so random when they first came out in the early 00's.

My friend is a big Puleo fan and he wanted to have one of these, so I found a full size and a mini-board for him from local marketplaces just last year

Well done investigative reporting. It is an interesting read, thanks for sharing this. The straight rip-off theory makes more sense to me than buying the graphic rights when the company closed. If they are ripping the Wet Willy graphic, I don't see why they wouldn't rip more without buying rights. Another reason I think they choose to reprint Bobby Puleo graphics is Bobby is a classic American style name and Puleo looks interesting.
