TV Skateboards Promo 1992

https://youtu.be/Xg1pV7vDm6Q

For those of us old enough on here to remember the early 90's, seeing random never before seen footage is a treat.  My group chat just got blessed with this so I figured I would pass it along.  Some absolutely epic footage in here of Ed Templeton, Mike V, Jahmal Williams and a young Jerry Fowler.
Them skating the roller rink where Chris Hall has all the lines from 1281 is just golden.  You can tell this is right around when Mike V filmed for the Union Wheels video as he has the same kit and trick selection as that one.

Cool, that interskate 91 is where the first nollie flip was ever filmed. I used to play laser tag there in my early teen years.

Rad to see all this old footage right in my back yard.
Do you get deja vu, huh?

This was sick! That one dude was pretty techy on that ledge.

Growing up in the 90's was awesome.

These were the days.

Maybe for the skating progression but everything else really sucked. 😀

Early 90’s was skateboarding’s most self absorbed and exclusionary era ever, it was a catalyst  for change but it was terrible.
That’s why it was such a breath of fresh air (for me anyway) when Ricky O, Matt Reason and all the eastern guys started getting recognized skating 50 mm wheels and actually going fast.

Yes but I was young and full of promise back then and now I am old so that’s that.

What's better than a Jahmal 180 fakie nose grinder? Not much I can tell you that.

My 80 fakie nose grind was me trying to imitate Kline but after I see Jahmal do one I fine tuned it to look more like his. Toes pointing forward a shizzz

I wonder if any of those custom Ed shirts are still alive today? Probably not. In 92 skating was only worth something to us.

I'm so glad that wheels got fixed. Man was that the worst shit ever to happen in skating. Get to the shop and wash wah wah. Your choices are 48mm down. Or you can buy these left over T Bones?
No fucking way at that time but looking back I should have. Instead I just kinda quit for like a year maybe a little more.

Huge mistake. Never all the way quit. The worst shit happened in my life off board. I should have followed my instinct too. When I heard that Jahmal left Boston I should have copied him there too.

Next life I will move to the city
Plz stop killing each other

With the Coliseum stuff and this promo, it's kinda refreshing that some of this week's best drops are from the '90s.

I thought the same thing about those shirts, I sure hope one of them survived.
And man, how annoying were we all as kids yelling "YEAH!" at every single trick?  It's insane.  It for sure started in the 80's because every contest video I have from then, we're all doing that.

It's funny because even on the wrong side of the planet ten years later I first heard it at a skate demo and maybe have only heard it at a skate demo since. Nobodies at football or tennis etc going yeahhh .......yeahhh every two mins lol

The one he does over the small transition hip is incredible.  Like the full pop-shove late back 180 style, it's amazing.

Pretty sure it's from SoCal skatepark sessions but wasn't it parodied in one of the first few Bones Brigade videos?
