You’re always carrying around Monster stickers and repping Monster logos. Are you sponsored by them?

No, dude, I’m not. I want to fucking ride for Monster. I want to be part of the army. I basically collect Monster shirts and Monster attire and if somebody were to just tell me to wear a fucking Monster patch on every pair of pants, I wouldn’t even bat an eye. I would fully do that. I love Monster. I’d get it tattooed on my body. If they fuck with me, I would fuck with them way more than I already do. So yeah, sponsor me, Monster.

Here's the interview about the part: https://www.thrashermagazine.com/articles/chandler-burton-on-makeup-monster-and-making-a-living/

It sucks he's getting only royalties from There/DLX. I hope vans really give him a contract after this part. I'm a big fan.
[close]

He deserves it. Blown away by how many people "ride" for DLX brands and do not get paid. Pretty sad. Smart of Chandler to put this part out under his own name.
[close]

I've said this before, but my friend occasionally works with a known DLX pro at her job doing fancy coffee catering. A guy with a board on a big DLX brand.

I am sure it can be anybody but I have to think Robbie Russo isn't doing that great in skateboarding. I feel like Dan Drehobl has or needs a day job too.

it is crazy this illusion that a pro makes all this coin
only the very top with sick ass shoe deals are making that money
gifted hater, ben de gros, dan corrigan, berrics, revive, braille, all makes more money than any pro that doesnt have thier own shoe
think about it too how risky it is, you are out there killing yourself every day, and the longer you do it, the less valuable your name is (most of the time). its the complete opposite of a normal job where the longer you work there, the MORE you get paid. it really makes no sense for anyone to pursue it to be honest.

Regarding the art compilation at 2:02, yes it's very likely AI generated, here are some tells:

1- right side castle 'drawn' as if it were much farther away judging by the perspective, and position relative to the left side castle

2- common AI artifacts, nonsense smudges, most arts picked got away with these due to the dark fantasy theme and rough style

3- same prompt used for the 3 arts, little sense in paying an artist to draw the same shit thrice. The same thing can be said for the entire compilation actually

4- cave with the horizon visible but there is a huge mountain or wtv behind it, that is still possible if the mountain has an improbable hole coincidentally in its non visible part but artists would avoid this type of confusion either way

5- nonsense smudges again, sky invading the castle at the top, and walls invading door space right below

Been fiddling with AI shit lately but I'm no specialist

And dope vid, 50 50 over that thing was pretty nice

are any shoe sponsors fully putting on queers besides BA/leo? Goes to show that the real money in skateboarding is primarily shoes/energy drinks. and they don’t give a shit.

vans has fabiana delfino, brianna geering and cher strauberry. nike has leo baker, BA, hayley wilson and elissa steamer. cons has alexis sablone, adidas has jenn soto.

no queer skaters on any core brands to my knowledge :/

Always find it funny when people hold Deluxe to some elite standard of being industry leaders when they don't pay their am's and pay their professionals below  standard  minimum wage.

i was thinking samarria brevard was on etnies but i guess shes on NB now. I don't think any core brand has a female team member, so I guess add that to the laundry list of reasons they are all (aside from last resort) fairly irrelevant

Vans is blowing it by not giving Chandler a contract, even after he stole the show at the Dime comp. If this part doesn't get him promoted from flow then another shoe company should take the opportunity to swoop him up.

Great part. Really good person. Good song choice.

I thought traditionally dlx ams are flowed enough product to resell and pay rent. I realize times have changed and there are a lot more skaters but maybe you could still do that if you sell decks for 50 bucks a pop.

This seems like a pretty bad way of doing things. Why not just give them the money instead of shipping a bunch of product everywhere. Plus any shop that's near where a dlx am lives is probably not that psyched they're getting undercut all the time.

I think you guys would be surprised how little board sponsors pay their riders. That said, yeah DLX et all should probably pay more, but at least he’s getting some $$$ from them, and not just some Rowan’s and half cabs from VF Corp shoes, who certainly could short Josh Harmony’s check a little bit to pay Chandler.

If Harmony is still getting paid. Thoughts and prayers.

I think somehow Josh is doing more surf event stuff these days, which is just as cringeworthy as his other posts. It's weird knowing vans has more money than god and aren't allocating it correctly.

Whoever made the Darrell Stanton comparison nailed what I was thinking while watching. I couldn’t quite figure it out but that seems pretty spot on for me. I do see the BA comparison as well but that might be cause they’re both bald, tall, and powerful.
