I really like Mikey's style and it's something I definitely got inspired by for skating. He's got a great natural flow and the way the video is shot is great.

I'm not really in the surfing world, but I think I got recommended this because of the Vans affiliation. I've watched it several times over now.

He’s a style god for sure. He can ride a mid length and still make it look high performance without losing the smooth twin fin vibe

Do the twin fins take a different riding approach to get the most out of them?

I think so, although I've only ridden one once so I can't pretend to be any kind of expert.

Overall it seemed to go faster than other fin setups, but slip out more on turns if I would push it too hard. Fast and loose. Demands a certain graceful approach to handle properly (which I don't have). People in the surfing thread know more about it than I do tho

In other Mikey February news, he was on the Surfers Journal podcast last week. Honestly kind of a boring interview imo, but whatever, still cool that he's getting his time in the spotlight

Trying to sell a couple of surfboards so I can order a CI Mid Twin and surf like Mikey. Only problem is Mikey is a super stylish flexible surfer who has access to quality right hand point breaks. Whereas I am a clumsy middle-aged oaf who surfs dumpy beach breaks. Why do I insist on setting myself up for failure?

Yeah, I wish I could surf more often. In NC, it's about 5-6 hours of travel to get to the good spots in OBX.

I found a good style breakdown for Mikey here:

This series is so good. Loved that first episode when it dropped last year.
