Everything Everywhere All at Once

When Waymond is trying to get everyone to stop fighting and he says "Everyday I don't know what the heck is going on, and I feel like it's all my fault"

Fucking waterworks

I walked out of that movie.
This right here is the only two reviews for this movie. People either couldn't love it enough/cried at everything or they thought it was dumb and couldn't even get thru it.

Belfast was pretty sad I guess.
Nearly cried from laughing at how shitty all the green screen stuff is in jeepers creepers reborn.

The opening scene to Saving Private Ryan. Don't know if its the same scene or later in the movie a young solider is dying and calling out for his mother. Its pretty terrible.

And Toy Story 3. Seeing Andy grow up and pass along his toys and childhood memories to a new generation of children, the inevitability of growing up, the loss of innocence. I was sitting on the couch on a Saturday afternoon trying to be a normal person, watching a movie about toys come to life and whatever mischief they get into. Next thing I know I'm crying thinking to myself "The toys...they just want to be played with! That's all they know!"

I didn't cry but these two films are fucking emotionally devastating:

For anyone who suffered through extreme depression or had a loved one go through extreme depression Melancholia is the best representation of the whole experience. I didn't understand it when I first saw it in the theatre (ironically enough it was the first movie I saw with my ex who suffered from bipolar depression), but I understand it now. Severe depression destroys the person suffering and everyone around them:

Dude that movie is so fucked.  Actually all of that that guy’s movies are.  Antichrist fucked me up for like a week after I first watched it.

I love all the different reactions people had to the news the planet was doomed: Jack Bauer immediately bitches out while Kirsten Dunst’s depression evaporates and she seems to be in a state of bliss.

I saw Anti christ around the time it came out, still haven't recovered from it.

Breaking the Waves and Dancer in the Dark... Brutal...

Someone else said it too, but the first 10 minutes of Up is some of the best cinema ever created. Devastating.

With the Sigur Rós tune playing… life aquatic always.

Lots of ones mentioned. A kind of guilty pleasure, but Fundamentals Of Caring the Paul Rudd Netflix movie. Some moments in that one.

Blue Valentine yeesh what a rough one.

Water ship down when I was like 5

Elephant man also. When he says “I am not an animal “

Water ship down makes me cry almost crying rn. It's the last thing I did with my brother before he died. That movie was a regular watch in my family.

I didn't watch the remake. To painful I feel slighted that they even had the nerve to try.

Fuck Disney or whatever. Bunch of fucking Nazis. You know they own Vice. Bam worshipping counts.

Bam is like a fucking demented wavy gravy. Call him Cavie Scabies.

Schindler’s List

One of the greatest (and most depressing) movies I’ve ever seen, but I’ll probably never watch it a second time.

I watched Cinema Paradiso at a community college movie appreciation course and I cried when the young man opened up the gift from his mentor. It may be the most beautiful cinematic moments I have ever witnessed.

The other movie that makes me cry is the last sequence of Smoke with Harvey Kitel. I try to watch it around Christmas and if I am in the right frame of mind it will still make me tear up.

Anyone cry to Mask?

Not THE Mask.  The one where the kid has the crazy fucked up head.

Found this on a blog’s “Ten Best Documentaries To Watch” list like a decade ago.. I want other people to see it, but I also don’t know how to recommend it without spoilers or being the subject of their anger after, ya know? I have had a couple friends watch it.

There’s a part where one of the friends says roughly, “They shouldn’t have to make coffins that small” and I just lose it every time.

Not a movie but Elfen Lied made me cry multiple times throughout the show back in the day. Currently rewatching it now to see if it holds up. Only 13 episodes long if any of y'all are looking for a tearjerker of an anime
