One time I had this scab that was so fucking hard and thick, then it fell off. I marveled at how sturdy it was and to demonstrate I briefly used it as a guitar pick.

Keep them on to avoid divots. Rub around them to not disturb the scab and increase blood flow.

Why isn't screaming at them until they go away an option?

I keep ‘em in my scrap book to show dates.  It’s fun to point out what the shape of each one looks like.
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

Tar and feather them

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

I used to enjoy peeling them and letting them bleed quite a bit. Now I usually let them be until they start to fall off on their own.

Tell myself I’m going to do it the right way and let it fall off by itself.

Then I start scraping the detached crust around the healed edges, telling myself that I’m keeping the neighborhood clean and being a responsible scab citizen.

Then I say “fuck it” and rip the scab off because I think it’ll feel pretty good even though it hurts.

Then it feels pretty fucking good even though it hurts.

Then I tell myself that next time I’m totally going to let it fall off by itself.

Lifting and flakey; I might carefully try to bend and break it around the edges without disturbing the main membrane.

I broke my toenail in some Busenitz Vulcs (I love the way those shoes look but I think they suck). Anywho.. a scab formed under my big toenail. I was confused how it was under there but the nail was just like uh loose sorta. Anyway I watched this for like a month then one day a corner peeked out from under the nail. I used tweezers and slid this dry dead scab out from under there. Thin flat dead dry scab. Pretty sure I zinged it into my backyard.

I remember when I was pretty young (6-7ish) this one dude in my neighborhood had this giant scab from roadrash or something and peeled a big ol hunk of it off and put it on a slice of pizza like a pepperoni and ate it while his friend videotaped it. Coincidentally these two were the first skaters I ever encountered and used jump ramp over me before I ever stepped foot on a board.
