Here's what I know.

This dude that was our web designer for a while worked on that site.
Someone, posted photos of Danny's house along with his address on the site and Danny called me up absoluetly livid, convinced that it was the dude that worked for us. I talked to the dude and he said he didn't know anything about it and got it taken down. I told him that he either had to stop working on the site or quit BB, because people knew who he was and it was a time bomb. I think he spoke to Danny and he was a bit freaked out about the whole thing, so he said it wasn't an issue and he canned the site. He then resigned from BB a month or two later to work for Sole Tech.

I heard that some Industry guys were worked up over some of the posts (that admittedly got out of hand at times) and that Sole Tech actually acquired it to shut it down. If you remember correctly during the last gasp, the regular http link didn't work but it was still live if you went through a bookmark. I know the DWay thing was the kiss of death but everyone was trying to figure out who was doing it, I think someone at Sole Tech paid for it so they could bury it good and proper. My Sole tech rep told me that story long ago. I have no idea how accurate it is but he seemed convinced.
I preferred wheelbite too.
