SF East Bay, Rainy Day spots
« on: March 10, 2023, 09:03:58 PM »
Not exactly travel, but this seemed like the best place for this: I'm in the East Bay, Richmond/Berkeley/El Cerrito area, and I'm really tired of rain. Anyone got a hot tip on some dry place to skate this weekend? It's gonna be wet again :(

The parking garage under Sproul Plaza at UC Berkeley is a go-to spot for skaters for when its raining. People tend to show up with jump ramps and flat bars sometimes

Braille or Robskate, lol. But in all seriousness, if you know someone who knows someone at Braille they will likely let you skate their vert ramp if you full pad up because they never use it for videos

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

Thank you! Cool, I've seen some Orchard stickers on boards at the curb spot so I was curious. I was finally able to get out there with Daylights starting and the break in the rain (though I'm thankful for all the rain, we're finally almost out of the drought).

Good news, Bay Area is currently out of the drought:

For now. I'm not saying don't celebrate, but let's not all use this as an excuse to waste water because it will be back probably relatively soon, and probably a lot worse than before
