This is the greatest gift any brand could have given us

so hard to watch any footage from this time period, the skinny khaki chino/janoski era was by far the worst ever in skating

king
dont hate the concept just don't think they're profiting very much as i havent seen a single board anywhere (shops, streets, internet, parks) other than their website

Nah king is a good thing cause it’s siloed  Nak. Another year of him not selling boards or having footage and adidas will drop him and his annoying ass will fade into obscurity only to be seen on south of Pico club marquees
PINE 2009, 2010, 2011, 2020, PINE STILL MAKIN' MONEY.

Most of them

Just sticking to board brands I'm seeing on Tactics right now:

Wknd seems like the aggregate of a whole bunch of aesthetics which culminate in a skate brand made for the subplot of a late-night NBC television show.
Pizza
Uma Landsleds
Darkroom (sorry not sorry Pendleton)
Cafe
Thank You
Monarch is an atrocity
Skate Mental

The rest serve a purpose, even if I don't like them, or they look like small brands which look they serve a niche in their respective communities

Why is Thank You so shat on?
I mean, I can't say I'm rushing to the store to buy their stuff, not really my style, but I don't wish they would fail or something, Daewon deserves to get paid.

Im gonna go a little controversial:

Either VENTURE or THUNDER shouldn't exist; its the same fucking tight low truck, so why we need two brands? both even under same distro....

For the venture lows totally but venture high is my favorite truck. Thunders are too low and wheelbite too much for me. Venture high is perfect except that I hit axel in about 6 months.

Also to add to the thread here’s a major hot take. Grimple. The graphics are boring and even though the videos are fucking sick I just can’t stand the editing/silliness. I’m totally down for trying new things but it seems like they’re applying adult swim humor from 15 years ago and botching killer clips. Frank is a god don’t get me wrong but I just don’t see the point.

Same. Torey seems like a good dude and it’s a grassroots company. Definitely not going to buy any of their stuff, name is kinda lame but I’m happy they exist.

I know they've been everywhere last couple years BUT I still see them as the shoe company that WILL EVENTUALLY DIE in the next 5-6 years, hopefully less.
Cause shitty looking overpriced shoes with mall-shoe-level materials isn´t a great strategy, but somehow its working. Maybe its a drug founded company that got to big or something  ;D

If Rip n' Dip never existed, the world might of just had a chance at survival...

Stepping on Dill's toes here, he's already got the exclusive rights by decree for white guys hawkin' cocaine themed goods in the skate game.
