I kind of see an inward heal as a deep teal or torquoise, a hard flip as a burgundy type of vibe. Front feebles are almost certainly a yellow green.

wow I had never heard about this... I’m on a similar boat as Matt, I guess? kinda weird to possibly find more about oneself so randomly... I guess this might explain why I am so particular about the color of my notebooks “matching” the class they are for?

Quick off the top:
Kickflip is chartreuse green
Heelflip is a reddish orange—rusty is close I guess
Quick, low shuvs are light blue.
For some reason, a high, resounding, pop shuv feels red tho.

Varial anything or tricks with more than one axis of rotation start to lose (mix?) colors for me. Also, screeching powerslides have no color, I would guess because their sound is more affecting than their sight?

I’m kinda trippin a bit about this whole thing now.

I never got it with skate tricks because I spontaneously mentally picture my favorite pros doing them instead (like the best examples for each that I've seen are carved into my brain), but I used to get it a lot with music, both listening and playing it. Not as much anymore as I used to, but I remember being in a shitty local band 15 (woosh) years ago and some of our songs would naturally feel like solid orange, purple or green.

Profiting off old Dylan Gravis models on eBay was the first one to come to mind. Probably a mix of my brain assimilating the clean background (Dylan's kickflips) and the dark patches (bad SLAP threads).

I'm always intrigued by the power of colour. I know it's common knowledge, esp. to whoever studied art formally (I never did), but colours are psychologically/historically associated with different traits and moods. For example, grey symbolizes wisdom and maturity. Blue symbolizes peace, red symbolizes passion and fury. That's why I think a country's flag says a lot about it, maybe more than the citizens want it to in certain cases.

I actually took a marketing course and was surprised how colours can influence our mood - for example, blue dinner plates can help us eat less and are recommended for diets.

As far as skate tricks go, I'll say a benihana = neon green.
