Muska Flips

Was just thinking today, there are 3 moments in skate video history that basically shut down people from doing Muska Flips (respectably). IT just seemed like they were illegal after that. never saw them in video parts after that unless they were done by Chad himself for the most part.

I don't have a favorite but I think muska flips def have certain applications where it makes more sense than a Reynolds fs flip. As long as the muska flips stays close to the feet. They look bad when the skater gets too far above them.

You may be on to something. Outside of the occasional bank/transition frontside flip the muska flip disappeared.

Best ones were when Muska stanky legged em. Like why not. There was an Osiris ad around 2002 with Kasper switch Muska flipping something like a 15 that looked absolutely ridiculous. Wish I could find it.

I love Muska flips of all kinds especially the lesser done backside heel flip versions. Hate that I went with the trend and didn't do them for about 14 years. I really think they should just be classed as a different trick to frontside flips etc. It's not the same technique at all and can even be harder eg try doing one over something long.

The last time I saw someone do Muska flip, it was in the Ace Trucks "Largo" video.
