I've always wondered if there was someone at Nike named Lonnie who worked in the LUNARLON division because that name is garbage if the story goes any other way.

Even if they aren't paying him, he can just flip some shoes here and there for extra cash. The resale on Nikes is considerably higher than Vans. And yes, Vans fucked up.

I do wear testing for SB (thank you Mike Davis I miss you so much) and can confirm Janoski’s are comin back, we’ve been testing them again over the last few months.

These were the first shoes I got to test for Nike, they’re the greatest shoes you’ll ever skate for about 3 sessions. Just like the One Shots lol

they’re comfy as hell. I remember somehow scoring a pair of the all black ones with the reflective details before they released and like you said, 3 sessions and they’re done. But I still keep them just to wear around

I thought Nike bought the word Janoski or whatever. That’s what I read on here like 12 years ago so idk

Janoski’s are back. Pretty sure there’s an ad in the new Thrasher. The Shane’s also skate and look great imo. We get it, a lot of people hate/love Nike. Thanks for adding another thread about it.

I have a deadstock/bluebox pair in black in white that I purposely kept just because it was such an amazing shoe.

I feel like we’re past due for a “Nike’s cutting the whole team” rumor mongering

That’s a good one, but my favorite is definitely “Nike is going to start producing skateboard decks.”
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

Vans is hurting. Sales were double-digit for like fifteen years and now they’re seeing the those same numbers in a sales drop off. They’ve got the new Zion shoe, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they start cutting back and that probably includes no new additions to the roster.

Quick Googling says Vans averaged 22% growth for the previous 15 years, and has seen 16% decline in sales since 2021.

This looks like a kids pillow or a slipper. The angle is too janky and I dunno why but it’s making me laugh so hard.

The zahba it’s not even HIS shoe, it’s a colorway...
It looks like an iteration of the vans ultrarange pro with some upper changes, IMO it’s not gonna work cause price it’s too high and vans users like their feet bleeding  ;)
