Geometric Skateshop….Seeing a lot of them lately. Does anyone know who own this shop? Why they have taken off so much lately with so much backing?

They only have 2 locations (1 in Houston and the other in Dallas) so equating them to Zumiez doesn't make any sense. They carry dope shit and take care of professional skateboarders passing through either city. The few times I've visited the shop for product or a video premiere, I've experienced nothing but good vibes

As to how they sponsor so many skaters and are backed by so many, I have no idea lol

Owner of the shop worked as a rep and kissed a lot of ass to get the shop where it is today and personally pays out of his asshole to bring teams to town. And then calls them his close personal “friends” on instagram

I went in the Houston shop a couple of times when I was down there for a week back several years ago. They were very cool to me, and I’ve bought multiple things from them since and had them shipped to me without issue. There was one time they sent me the wrong shoes, and no longer had my size, so I returned the wrong ones, and they said they’d hook me up with a discount for different shoes at a later date. I still haven’t actually cashed in on that discount yet, but all of my experiences with them have been positive.

Perhaps people are mistaking the owner’s supposed ass kissing for just being a genuinely kind person? I know it’s hard to believe, but nice people exist, and I’m going to need more of an answer than “Everyone in Texas has beef...” Especially when they’ve got two seemingly successful stores in two different cities.

I'm from Houston and I'm confused by their whole deal, too. Back in the day, I think they were doing a small board brand for a while and you'd see kids around the North Houston park riding them. Then it stopped and all the sudden they had a skate shop going. Never had a bad experience dealing with them and their board wall is pretty nice, but it's weird that they have a full on team of pros being a skate shop with 2 locations in Texas. Maybe the dude's just good at running a business?

heard the dude used to be vx1000market on IG, and that people would send him VX's to get repaired and he would charge them then just send it back a week later without doing anything to the camera.

I have friends who got their VX’s fixed by that page. Both of those VX’s are still working years later. Not that he didn’t do that to other people
