Leo Romero Skater is out:

https://emerica.com/products/romero-skater-black-6102000137-001#7648612974774-2

What's the mid sole on these?
[close]
same one as on his regular laced no?
I’m more interested on how that heel tab makes these and the laces feel on foot

I bet the heel tab improves the fit.
It’s a nice shoe already, but the heel could dig into your achilles sometimes when breaking a pair in.

@emericatm, With the KSL g6 being taken off the market, are we going to get anything else down the road with the g6 midsole, or will it now be just the Figgy g6 and Phocus?

Looks like it's just the Figgy G6 for now...

@EmericaTM How do the Romero Skaters fit compared to the Wino G6 slip cup?

If they fit anything like the Laced, a bit cramped.

ABP in the post the shoes you're wearing thread, but I figured i'd reiterate.
These def don't deserve the hate they are getting here. cant wait to skate the absolute fuck out of them.
Enjoy. I liked the idea of skating them the one day that I did, but had to stop skating them when I noticed my joints were getting absolutely rocked from lack of midsole.

So if you’re not old and heavy like me… they could work great for yah.
Thanks y’all. It’s been fun.

Hmmm. I’ll hold off until I see if anyone reviews them or anything. I’m consistently 10.5 in the slip cups and I kinda really want those silver ones haha

I’m currently trading off between broken in slip cups and a newer pair of Laced, the initial cramped thing is to me, because of the tongue straps really, I snip them off and they’re usually a lot better after a few wears.

Those silver jawns look interesting, it’s like a skateable coors light

I've fit 8.5 perfectly for any emerica shoe in the last 5 years or so, and now I'm skating the dicksons and the toe is so stupid long it feels like I'm skating clown shoes. Beware

Super comfy and good liking shoe, but the toe shape sucks for me

That’s fair but a bummer, Dicksons are my favorite shoe and they last forever

I feel like in general shoes have gotten bigger by half a size, I used to be in 8.5 pretty much across the board 2-3 years ago but now Im finding that I have to size down to 8 to get the fit that I want in nikes, adidas, vans, emericas, etc.

I put some old koston1/cons lunalon insoles in mine. An actual midsole would be nice, but not a deal killer. Def provides some good all around support

Good deal. Enjoy the nostalgia, that M, and the wide toe box. Those were my favorite parts of the shoe.

Oh I just remembered the other thing I couldn’t skate in them for: since I had to put in the thick FP insole to have any cushion, I was then too high over the board :/
Thanks y’all. It’s been fun.

Is it confirmed if it’s actually a pro model or is it just a new team shoe?

He HAS a model coming, don’t know if that’s it.   I thought he was teasing one that had a symbol that looked like a G on the side

The G is on the inside sidewall, just a lil breathable panel, still no real explanation for why they went with a “G” tho.

I bought the black OG-1's today from my local shop, and to me and my 36-year old size 12 stompers, they fit great. There seemed to be enough room in the shoe for a second insole when I first tried these on (or a thicker one), and that should be even more so after the shoe packs down a little bit from everyday wear.

Hopefully the black and yellow colorway is in their pipeline too.
RIP Ben Raemers

Im on my second pair of KSLs. Anyone notice there comes a certain point of wear down where the grip on the sole just goes away? It’s like I have no grip on my deck any more.
