Canon GL2 advice
« on: May 23, 2023, 08:00:32 AM »
I’m looking into getting a canon gl2 off of eBay and need some advice on any accessories I need. I know I’ll need the cam itself, tapes, batteries/charger and looking for tips on what else I need, such as the correct cables to upload the video to mac or pc, and anything else you recommend. Any help is appreciated!

My advice is to not get one. If you're looking into the MiniDV range, just stick to a VX2100.

you will need firewire cables, and depending on what kind of mac an adapter.

+1 on this post, but if you're going to, just get a 4pin to 6pin FireWire and make sure to fit a FireWire card that fits via a PCI card in your computer. If you're a Mac user I believe you'll already have one on there depending on what age or a Thunderbolt connection where you can use a converter.
