Seems perfect.  ES/Fallout are my shit, too bad I don’t have PC/Xbox though.

Will definitely buy this though with Final Fantasy XVI, Armored Core 6, Baldur's Gate 3 and a handful of other titles all coming out in the same time period I'll likely wait and get it a few months down the line with some performance patches baked in by then.

I like the way it looks but I'm curious to see more of the gameplay loop and how engaging the world(s) are. The ship building especially is intriguing to me but I'm nervous about the size of the planets and them not feeling barren or the AI generated content feeling bland

Did not pay, just going to hold out for the game pass version, which is already preloaded on my Xbox

I hope it’s really good but not all time great so I don’t end up buying the early edition out of FOMO.

Stumbled into the new Gamestop the other day and the dude there lined up a good plan of action.  I’m not a PC guy, and don’t really need need 4K or 60fps, so gonna wait a year plus for people to start reselling their Series S 1TB (that’s about to launch) and buy used…

Also Starfield gets added to GamePass in October, month after launch…

I’m gaming on a budget so I’ll have to wait… I have a massive queue of PS4 games to work through still, but I’ll get there at some point, since it truly does look all-time great.

Nah Starfield is on gamepass September 6, but if you drop the cash you get early access September 1.

Oh word, my bad.  I think I might end up buying the game, even if that’s sorta old fashioned.  I’m not even sure how much gaming I will do outside of Starfield on the Series S… maybe Indiana Jones and other exclusive Bethesda releases?  Maybe I’m forgetting something else…

If you’re an FPS guy Halo Infinite is the most fun I’ve had in a Halo game since Reach. I might even enjoy the multiplayer more than Reach but it’s not as good as 3.
Also Forza Horizon 5 is incredible and I usually hate racing games

Only had time to play for 45 minutes tonight but I’m very impressed so far. The music is great, the combat is better than previous Bethesda games, and the space dogfighting is very satisfying. The world building is awesome too. I was going through a base on some planet and the attention to detail and decoration was incredible. The opportunity to loot/collect random stuff was almost overwhelming. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed is that you can’t actually land or take off from planets. It’s all cutscenes done for you.

About 4 hours in now that I got the game actually working and loving every bit of it. Admittedly half that time was spent decorating the dream house. Only thing I don’t like is how spongy the enemies are. Ammo is super scarce so far so I’ll probably end up installing a mod to tone the enemy health down a bit. Also hate the encumbered system I know it’s a Bethesda staple but god damn is it annoying, I just wanna carry all the cool shit to decorate my house with.
Can someone explain in Fortnite terms?

Did y’all preorder it? I gotta wait till the 6th *sigh*… would’ve been perfect for the day off today.

Unethically obtained, the pirated version somehow released before early access which is nuts to me. Shoutout r/Crackwatch.

I’m seriously considering buying an Xbox just for this game, when I hadn’t had any intention prior.

Got a PS5, and I’m wondering if there’s any other Xbox titles worth owning one for? (Don’t care for anything Halo).

Sick, I’m gonna do some research. It’s just more feasible to buy an Xbox than it is to build a pc at this juncture. Plus I don’t have the space to house some hefty case.

Starfield looks like it’s got the juice to fuel my cosmic obsession.

FWIW you can play this title and many more using the cloud service. Kind of a normie route, but you could get a semi-shoddy PC and just stream it.

I played about 30min after it dropped at midnight and decided I should fully commit once I had more time to sit and dive in

Not a PC guy at all and I’m intrigued - what qualifies as semi-shoddy in your mind?

I'm not a PC guy either, I just have one lol. Really I'm not even sure that there's a hardware requirement, download speed is much more critical.

I mean, the streaming service works on the mobile game pass app, so there's that. I played Halo Infinite for a few weeks using my phone and bluetooth controller.

Link that may prove informative (mostly speaks on mobile devices tho)

https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-cloud-gaming-requirements

and TLDR, ending quote

"Microsoft has always said that it sees Xbox Game Pass and cloud gaming as supplementary to its core offering. It does offer a way for low-power Windows devices and tablets to access console-quality games, providing you have the internet speed to back it up. I do wonder whether it can compete with the increasingly dominant mobile games industry that is reaching higher and higher with its quality. Only time will tell whether Xbox Cloud Gaming can break into the mainstream and not only survive, but thrive. For now, I'm just enjoying the ability to jump on a game during those moments when the family has commandeered the TV."

Really feeling the itch to buy this, especially since I haven't purchased a new game in ages. I tend to just play Session and a couple driving/racing sims, but could definitely use something different. I have a pc I put together in 2020 that doesn't have crazy specs, but hopefully it can run it without too much of an issue.

I bought an Xbox just to play it. I’m about 3 hours in. It’s pretty damn fun… Fallout 4 in space which is fine. lol just way more bells and whistles. Even the music and dialogue.

It’s fallout 4 meets cyberpunk meets Skyrim’s mining mechanic…

I say get it. Well worth it imo.

I ended up buying it on Friday evening and... no regrets whatsoever. I'm still just getting a feel for things but already I'm having a good ass time exploring the world(s). I'm playing on my pc which doesn't have the most impressive specs, but it seems to run fine so far. I'm running it on medium graphics which look more than good enough to me.

Definitely get it if you're on the fence!

Stoked you guy are loving it.  Can’t wait to get there eventually.  I feel like there’s usually a negative knee jerk to big releases like this, but Bethesda always seems to deliver.
