Gonz pop-up store in Korea

The reaction he gets from the crowd after a kickflip is pretty funny. I'm curious why there's suddenly all this activity in Korea from American skateboard companies and such. I guess because the skate scene there is growing a lot and it's probably easier than setting up shop in Japan.

When I was there last October everywhere I went there was someone wearing an adidas sweater that just said Mark Gonzales on the front. Literally saw like a thousand people wearing this sweater and still have no idea what was up with that

That's really random. Maybe they're just into his art style or it's a trend

Kids and younger generations are new to freedom, america is somewhat a symbol of "freedom"(self proclaimed) hence the ignorance and acceptance of old washed up skaters like dill, gonz and also the praise of new pro's who are freeingly toying with the standards of pro skateboarding talent( beatrice domond)

It's funny how money makes a guru of art and skateboarding idolized by everyone change to little more than a fairground monkey.
A sobering fact that made a man who does smart things for smart people end up doing shit like that

In Japan, Gonz's signature and art seems to be licensed by some company and it's everywhere. Was there in May and saw so much Gonz clothes.

New to freedom? After the Korean War, Korea was ruled by US-backed dictators until Koreans revolted and instituted democracy. Say you don't know shit about Korea without saying it.

Also, freedom is not the consumption of American pop culture.

“Mark Gonzales” has been a clothing company/brand in Korea with retail stores for a long time. It’s not new, just new that people outside of Korea are noticing. It has nearly nothing to do with skating, pretty sure they just licensed the name and logos.

I think Korean people just love a good, well-executed coffin.
