Commons is the big main park in town.  Lots of fun obstacles big and small, tendency to be pretty scooter infested though.  Shearwater and Spryfield parks are fun and less crowded, but 20mins or so outside of the city.  As for street spots, most are pretty crusty and pretty busy, but your best bet will be cruising around the universities and downtown/waterfront area.  They’ve really dialed down how to build schools with nothing worth skating around here.

There’s a million places to eat and drink downtown, but I’d recommend the North End instead.  Hali Deli is near the Commons and probably the best smoked meat east of MTL.  If you want a donair hit up Randy’s.  Then you’ve got the best coffee/chicken/beer in town all next to each other on North St. at  Java Blend, CHKN Chop, Unfiltered.

There’s so many quaint small towns in NS worth visiting, you could spend weeks exploring.  Cabot Trail in northern Cape Breton is a bucket list drive for sure.
