Wieger Van Wagamama's
« on: May 14, 2007, 09:16:31 AM »
Okay, so the new Slap... not only does he close it out with a sick sequence, but he does so dressed like a fisherman. Anyone who doesn't recognise this as the only acceptable look in modern skateboarding is a total person. And before we start... I'm sorry there's no scan to go with this post (hence why it's here and not in Photos/Videos), but maybe someone can help us all out with that...?

Anyway, the real point of this post is: He skates a Blueprint board in both the sequence and the article that proceeds it. Now of course, if you're a dude short of a board sponsor we all know how you either pick up what you can, where you can (which seems kind of unlikely as they're skating in Austrailia, which to my knowlege is not known for stocking too much Blueprint product), or you get flowed product for a while, as you check out your options...

BUT he is Euro, and Blueprint is all about the Euro, so maybe they have big enough pockets these days to cover such a rider? (Let us not forget that Puleo ALMOST started riding for Landscape before he made the last minute switch to Traffic). It's pretty unlikely, but all I'm saying is: that was one sick sequence, and it'd be rad if he got on the team.

Wishful thinking?

Whatever, looking like a fisherman is enough to keep me stoked on him for now anyways.

Zissou Steez.

I didn't read any of that after I read that he had a sequence. What's the trick?

I thought he was on Plan B. I hope he gets he's shit together - the guy is seriously good. And a nice guy too.

Did Landscape make a board for Puleo but then backed out and the board is now sold as a guest model? Just wondering...

Before he was on Chocolate, Pappalardo was buying Anti Hero boards.

I really don't get why this guy isn't hooked up propper. his skating is so sick he skates fast and with good style and on top of that he does really make heelflips look good.

Ok, Blueprint isn't really a UK company it's more a UK company with some Euro flow riders and some Scandinavians, so i wouldn't say it was Euro, also the teams pretty full, however, i'm sure they'd send him boards if he asked

If he was goign to get on a Euro company i'd say he should head to Cliche and speak to them, that would be a rad addition

However i thought he was on Euro Plan B or Workshop one or the other.

Puloe has a tribute board out on Landscape that's still out if you want one.

...can't believe this thread brought Donnie Murdo out of the woodwork!

wieger has had (of has been for a little while) the opportunity to be pro for cliche. I don't know what happened with that.
At the moment he's just checking his options. Gettign some boards here and there and just see how things word out. I think that sequence will help him out alot.

ginger ginger! he's one of my people! he's gotta get picked up..I know it's been said in the post before but look at On Tap...back tailing rails, inward heel noseslides on 4 foot high benches, seriously, he always deserved alot better than The Firm.

I just can't get over the fact that he is a GINGER.  A really scary one at that.  I'm sorry, I'm just an ordinary man.  I don't pretend to be color blind.  Skating is good, but the hair........   Maybe if he died it he might get picked up or something.  Wouldn't you agree?

he was on the Firm (probably flow) for years up to around 2001 or so when he went to Cliche after they brought out Europa.  That lasted about 18 months and he went back to the Firm as a full am in late 02.  I highly doubt you'd see him back on Cliche - one of those companies you leave and never return to.
