You think being brand manager for NHS is a shitty job? What’s a good job?
Idk what good lucrative jobs exist in skateboarding, but being any kind of salesman sounds unappealing.
Maybe a good skate job would be designing a park and/or building said park. Something you can do with your hands.
My first day on the job as a skatepark builder, the owner of the company said to me "You don't wanna be doing this when you're my age." It was the second time I had a boss / manager tell me that on the first day. The other time was when I was fueling up jets.
In skateboarding I've been a filmer, video editor, photographer, team manager, in house sales rep, skate shop / park employee, concrete park builder, and website manager. They all have their pros and cons, which are kinda dependent on where you are at in life.
Looking back, the worst out of all of them was my very short time as an in house sales rep. Calling up skate shops and trying to get them to buy shit for a brand that had next to zero demand for it sucked. I'm sure if the brand was in high demand, the experience would have been different, but you're still cold calling shops all day long...
