I just realized that I am sitting in a hotel room above and spot mecca of a city talking about how tight it is to skate solo on the internet

I guess I need to get off the internet and go skate

biggest fucking bummer is, I scrapped the back of my heel with a suite case at the airport and every time a push my shoe goes in the scrape, so distracting and no weed... fuck it, going to try and bomb some of these hills and check the city out the best way there is

Funny thing is... Summer means dudes and friends of dudes are most likely visiting NY, so won't be so many solo missions. Then again it's too ht to skate in the day and night solo missions are the best. Goodtimes.

I just had a sick solo sesh and figured I would share my adventure with the thread

got the ankle situation worked out

found this first spot pretty quickly and ironically "what you know about that" came on my ipod right as I was rolling up and getting pretty stoked on my find

found these two spots next that where right across the street from each other. these were fun as fuck, probably skated them for 2 hours or so

got the five 0 but security came out while I was working on taking it to fakie

I wish this was in my town, super fun and suprisingly had no grind marks when I found it. Love the combo of bank to flat gap and bank to ledge. There were also some tree base flat spots on the way up the side walk for lines.

This spot was pretty insane but an obvious bust. There were ledges, back to back small sets, wallie setups, all kinds of shit

I was working on getting a wallie line here when I got the simultanious asshole cop and rain

Oh well back to the internet faggot chillin...

the wallie line spot was really fun and there was a down hill right next too it. There are no hills in Houston and I just learned bs power slides on this trip and was thinking it would be tight to get a line that finished with the hill bomb. oh well, I knew it was too good to last...

and this is nothing, driving around I saw all kinds of spot. ATL is fucking sick.

You from Houston? I visit there a few times a year. Seems to be some sick shit to skate, only ever get a mini-solo sesh when I'm there though... hour or so max so far.

yeah, I'm from Houston. It's got some good spots but they are all 40 mins apart so it's kind of annoying and I don't know too many good non-hammer spots, nothing as fun as the shit I skated today anyway. I mostly fuck around at Ez-7 and skate the mini's and shit up there and hit southside up everyonce in a while. I skate street more when we are out of town.

Next time you come through Houston, hit me up if you want to get a session or want to know about some spot.

Sick man. I'll defiitely do that. My wife is from there, so we're back a lot to see her/the fam. Probably there in August, but the heat will most likely kill me, still maybe an after dark session... I'll hit you up next time I'm headed that way.

It's Pouring with rain here now. That shit better dry up tonight, as I have a day off ahead of me and an itch to skate... Solo, or otherwise.

Who am I kidding? I'll be cruising around alone five-o slapping curbs all afternoon. Can't fucking wait.

I know what you mean... Downtown Houston has nothing going on, so it's like a ghost town. Which is good for skating. But even just walking around at night is a really weird vibe.... you'd expect so much more to be going on, but really all the shit is happening elsewhere. I saw my first ever drive by crack deal in the suburbs of Houston (not that there are any suburbs... it's all suburbs really). Then I saw my first ever Armadillo 5mins later. A good night.

yeah, augest is pretty brutal. I used to skate the vans park here a lot during the summers because it had A\C.

Solo session beneath the FDR yesterday, nice ground, nice breeze, the horrible east river and plenty of Jersey Barrier wallrides...

You guys should have been there. Although then it wouldn't have been a solo session and my social weirdness would have kicked in and I'd have left without saying a word...

I have many spots I can only skate alone. That's another cool thing about it.

You can hit spots you don't get to skate when you arrive with a crew of six skaters, two filmers, a photographer and some generators.

On the other hand, you'll never get it on film as well.

one of the things I like about skating alone is that i can listen to music while im skating......theres something about it thats real nice except i could never wear headphones while skating with other people, thats just stupid!......it bugs me when people do that
