sixers trade everyone

lets process again

I think it’s hilarious that “trust the process” has caught on in European football amongst some players.   Apparently they never heard the process never actually pans out

Clippers are now the official landing spot for ex-Thunder players who have worn out their welcome.    (Retconning Paul George to fit that description)

Can someone explain this trade to me? Harden, P.J. Tucker and Petrusev for Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 first-rounder, two second-rounders, a 2029 pick swap and an additional first-round pick that'll be routed from a third team... wasn't the idea for the sixers to stay in contention?

Sixers get some added depth on their bench, but most importantly regain some much needed draft capital if they want to make a move at the trade deadline. Plus, those players are already on expiring contracts so more money can be freed up. Harden was a huge distraction and while Tucker’s defensive presence is great at times, you can’t have a starter score 0 points in a number of games. Plus, Tucker’s 10 million dollar contract was horrendous, so it’s a huge win moving off of that, especially for someone who’s a bench player at best. In the first 3 games without Harden, the ball movement is so much better. Maybe that could do with Nick Nurse being at the helm now, but either way, no one is standing around waiting for the ball. I think the Sixers will be fine without Harden and Tucker. I don’t think they’ll win the title, but they can still compete. This is Maxey’s year to shine.

.

Makes sense. I agree of course that they are better off without Harden, was wondering more about what they got for him. Will be fun to see how he’ll do with the clippers.

I think they’ll have a positive burst of 16 games then 1-2 of the stars will go out injured

yup. harden george and kawhi all being healthy in the playoffs is not likely at all.

Trade was a huge win considering harden could've just walked for nothing before he opted in. Thanks bud! dont let the door hit your fat ass!

Hell of a game last night by the Rockets… even against the Peli’s Saturday. Nice to see them hustle on both ends. Even if being down… might have to catch a few games.

The Clippers franchise is a loser, Westbrook is a loser, and Harden is a loser. No way they even lose in the Western Conference finals again. Playoff Paul George will show up, if he makes it to the playoffs, and Leonard will probably get another season ending “injury”.

The Clippers insistence on trying to out-Marquee Talent the Lakers is what dooms them.

Lakers had that super team itch when they signed Westbrook over anyone with a sensible contract that could shoot beyond the arc and have now learned that lesson with some great SUPPORTING roster moves since then

Alright, pretty hyped on how the Mavs have been doing this far. All the key additions are working well. Grant Williams has upgraded the defense, Derrick Lively is a double-double guy already. If Hardaway keeps shooting like that he'll be a sixth man of the year candidate. And Kyrie is finally balling up to his own standard, him and Luka have combined for 60 plus in most games this season.

It's interesting to see how much time is needed for trades to take. Kyrie is one example, the Wolves are another, they have the number one defense now and are top of the West, maybe the Gobert trade wasn't quite as stupid as it looked at the time.

Pops and his ridiculous mic grabbing outburst (clutches pearls for booing?), followed up by his cringe worthy interactions with the press after the game need Silver to come out and say "actually no, coaches can't mid game just grab the PA and berate fans...for (checks notes) having and voicing in a time honored way, an opinion".
