Maybe if, like Daewon, today’s skaters focused less on fashion and more on thrashin’, this would be a completely normal trick which every pro would be expected to have on lock and execute casually upon TM’s command

The adidas team is a real whos who of people who are good at skating but i dont care about at all. Busenitz aside obviously and its cool to see daewon getting so much footage still. Its crazy they still pay Jack Fardell.

I could watch Joey O'Brien all day long.

I don't really understand the Carl Aikens slander, hes a pretty one dimensional skater. But his switch game is pretty damn good and I find him fun to watch when hes doing hard shit. The fake steeze I think is kinda an exaggeration, he is kinda a corny guy but I dont find his skating particlarly bad. Id rather watch him than some other skaters, not saying hes at the top of my list but def not at the bottom

Daewon just be doing the same easy fakie manuals combinations all the time and somehow made a career out of it.

Wow n adidas edit with music

As mentioned before, what the hell happened? They use to have sick edits

I miss HUF Carl Aikens doing handrails and shit. Hes still sick but idk how many of those sw frontside flips I can watch

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

It’s great that they are paying Daewon, Silas and Busenitz what I assume must be a sizeable chunk of money. That’s a service to skateboarding right there. Agree that on the whole the new guys aren’t it, Milou aside.

it was really boring until busenitz, marcos montaya, jamal smith and lil dre showed up
cool they are doing a lot of demos again
i really dislike carl aikens skating, it feels like he wants to be the most stylish guy but just isnt.

in case you were wondering (like I was.)

jamal smith blessed us with a tornado spin. this edit feels like its lacking something or someone... maybe its because the east coast king/ legend mark suciu wasn't in it.

its actually Carlisle with another L at the end, pronounced like "car lie-L" (rhymes with 'while')
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Duh72cnFkG8

the town next to my hometown is Carlisle, MA so its a very familiar word to me

and yeah I had high hopes for Carl when he first came on the scene but he's he's gotta develop something more interesting trick/spot wise, he's great at fliptricks down stairs but kinda one trick pony at this point.

dude!!! this is originally how I presumed it to be pronounced, but "car-lyle," is also spelled Carlyle. I have only seen that spelling of the name before.

this whole time I've been pronouncing it, "Carl-leese," while holding a martini glass with my pinky out.

Other manual guys like Joey Brezenski weren't so so lucky I guess.

Carl was always overrated/overpushed. The fake steeze is just way too much, he really fancies himself.

Is Karl Watkins not responsible for hooking these guys up now? Other than Vincent really dropping the ball

I don't know much about Carl, but I really liked that sw pop shuv over the rail.

Lil Dre doesn't need shoelaces it seems. Which I find really crazy, wearing shoes like that.

Mariah is incredible and has great style.

Dan Mancina is also incredible.

Diego and Miles have that smooth, relaxed style and it almost looks like they skate slow and calm. Which they probably don't do.

Jamal, Daewon, Busenitz and Gonz were all awesome to see but I like these guys a lot anyway.

Anyone might know which shoes Daewon was wearing? Specifically the white ones. Matchcourt Super?

The music wasn't as terrible as I thought when I read these thread before and I really enjoyed the filming.

Honestly I liked this video, all kinds of different skate styles and multiple generations.

Surprised nobody did anything off the top of the old lady banks in Providence.

Back tail there was nuts (albeit it was more like a stall), that thing is so steep.

Are you talking about the top section that Westgate 180'd into?

It was all worth it for the Tornado Spin and Busenitz.

I'd guess the Adi-ease. Seems ti me that he is the sole reason they still have them in production.

Anyway, don't think that the adidas slander is justified. They may not be hitting as hard as they did up until a couple of years ago, but this was just a demo recap, not even a real tour video, and demo footy is usually boring to watch unless you were there.

They still have a heavy (possibly the heaviest) roster and their single skater videos are still dope (Mulhern, Justin Albert and Thorsten Frank are in my top 10 of video guys). That being said, they are due a longer team video...

ah you're right. Every Abnormal Communication has been sick

I rescind my previous comment.

Anyone know whats up with Drake Johnson? That dude is so sick and seems like theyre snoozing on him.

Would anyone be bummed if he got on Stereo?

Hate to say this but adidas is so wack as of late. What even is this edit? Lil Dre and Carl could disappear from skating completely and all would be right with the world. They seem insufferable, like smell their own farts kinda vibes. Ego through the roof runway skaters just need to go away. Busnitz and Daewon the truth tho
