would have loved if there was another dlx brand with these 4. would have been better than fa 2.0

the art direction for that brand would've been blander than REAL

Yeah. As much as I fuck with these dudes, a board brand from them sounds like "beige meets radiohead".

That was great all around. Hawai'i footage always looks divine.

Some of y'all might benefit from getting off the internet for a bit if you think there's anything unusual about a group of 5 dudes who grew up together getting along really well.

Curren skates gracefully as fuck

Dude glides like he weighs 50 lbs, tops.

I know nothing about camera gear.. but how much better does a 10k lens look than say, a 2-4k lens?  I get why they’d give Jake a hard time about it, but it seems like a 50/50 responsibility split in my eyes.  Anyway, dope edit.  Incredible juxtaposition between this and the Hardies in the Cayman Islands edit yesterday lol.
[close]

To the average viewer, not that much better. It's a bit more complicated than that though. For the Panasonic camcorders most filmers use there isn't really anything that exists between the $10k Century lens (which also isn't even produced anymore) and the $200 Opteka (which looks quite bad IMO).
Damn they really gong for 10g's now? I know Jordan Trahan got one for about 3 but it has a pretty big scratch on it. You can just replace the front elements on them, but idk if Century still makes those and when I tried to get in touch with them a few years ago it was impossible. I could also see the elements being mad marked up, I think those 2 dudes that sell VX stuff on instagram just buy all of centuries stock of things when they come out and jack up the price cuz no one else can get them.

Love Louie and Mason. Curren kinda always just been there. But can the industry stop tryna push this Jake dude onto me. He seems like the guy who starts being extra funny when ladies show up to the kick back.

Your eyesight and opinion is on point. These all suck.
Now, we used to say we put on our tights to put on the world. So I don't think it tarnishes the image at all.

I’m sure Cons or Nike have.   He’s arguably the most known active filmer and he films one of the most marketable guys in the industry.

Do the lens protectors interfere with the quality of the footage? If not why wouldn't Ryan be using one?

footage dump - curren and jake skating skate mental boards.

would not be surprised if one them dropped a big part before the end of the year.

how long until mason is on FA?

I could not imagine leaving Krooked or Anti Hero for FA. But I would leave Real. Even worse graphics than FA and even with being amazing- Mason still essentially competes with Ishod, Kyle Walker etc to stand out on that team. On FA he could get full creative control to make homie videos with Jake, Curren, and Louie all day long and would immediately be the best or 2nd best on the team after Louie. He also wouldn’t have to sport the Real Oval with like some flamingos being abducted by alien flying saucers and butterfly graphics with those shitty DLX shapes and wbs that only short fat ppl like the Gonz like.

FA is unbelievably try-hard and corny. It doesn’t matter at all if Real doesn’t have great graphics. Their team is absolutely stacked and productive. Real’s image is completely secondary to actual skating.

The actual issue is that DLX has been around for ~30 years and controls the entire skateboard industry while FA exists at the whim of Jason Dill.

Also-Jim/Tommy/Julien all qualify for sainthood in skating.  If they let you ride for them, you say yes and that's it.
