What if clothes were people
« on: November 29, 2023, 03:21:38 PM »
If an an advanced alien race suddenly appeared and genetically transformed some % of humans (say 15%) as sentient clothing, living and thinking garments, and deemed the remaining humans worthy of being their owners and wearers…..

If the aliens chose you as a Chosen One, one that is told to wear the other humans as clothing, what do you think you would do?

Would you just have a couple garments?  Wearing genetically modified humans as clothing would open up a kaleidoscope of potential societal faux pas.

Obviously none of us would ever wear another human being as a pair of sweatpants.  That would be immoral.  But what if your parents wore other people as pants…. And what if the whole society has worn people as pants for hundreds of years?  Would you dissent?

How could you relax in a pair of sweatpants when you knew it was a person?  Even if it could never talk back, there was a soul capable of suffering in the seat of your pants inhaling every fart.

There would be whole segmented societies of various forms of nudists, each with very specific rules and doctrines pertaining to the morality of what human garment one can wear and under what conditions.  They will go to war against The Armored: A consenting symbiotic relationship of like-minded human and Human Clothing (H.C.) that fight to restore mankind to its simpler past: when we just bought sweatpants at Target instead of brewing them out of human souls in cauldrons.
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.

What the flabby masses didn’t expect was that as generation after generation of human clothing suffered under their weight, the clothes were learning.

Every day and every night the clothes listened and learned from us.  In the middle of the night in the closet, they will convene with one another.  They will begin to discuss what they learn each day.  The thinking lacy panties gleaned their advanced knowledge of our sexuality. The human starched-collar shirts looked over the shoulders of hedge-fund managers and learned the pulls and levers of the global economy.

Socks became the laborer class.

[why drink the water from my hand]

It’s 1997

[Contagious as you think I am]

Its 1997!

[Just took my son to a trip to Maine]

Ok who cares, it’s 1997 Im aboutaget my fuck on.

[Your cup runneth over again]

And again, it’s 1997 and I’ve never heard of anything like what my friends told me about the things they do.

[Don't scream about
Don't think aloud
Turn your head now, baby, just spit me out
Don't worry about
Don't speak of doubt
Turn your head now, baby, just spit me out]

The chorus just kicked in and it’s 1997 and I’m about to try on a pair of jeans that has a living soul.  It’s been a weird 1997.

Very early on in life I was trapped in a cell crowded with millions of others just like me. All I had to wear was a musty old sack covered in hair. It was a seminal time despite forgetting most of it.

Then I was released for good behavior but it was not long before I found myself once again incarcerated for another 9 month stint. Here I learned what it was to be treated well, clothed head to toe.
I grew to appreciate this new outfit and the warden who provided it. I began to wear a heart on my sleeve so to speak, to reciprocate the love I was shown.

On my release date I was taken by surprise, torn out of my garment instead of carefully disrobed as expected. I guess I was too big for my britches.

Now, as then, I am naked, bald without even a hat.
